Thanks..!!!:eyesmoke: But I cannot take credit for it... I saw one on a post somewhere here... One of the millions of threads...

Very Effective Cloner...:weed:

Free... Very Effective Cloner...:leaf::clap::leaf:

Ph is kinda weird... it's like it has a personality, once yo get to know your water and additives, it is easy to predict what's going to happen...bongsmilie

But I usually check when I "get new water" ready, then I check after a couple of hours later to see if it is holding...

I use the old fashion fish tank drops, kinda of a pain, but very effective and cheap....:bigjoint:

So you are going to laugh at me now... I am still laughing at myself...:-P:idea::leaf:

I went by a garage sale and saw one of those single fish aquariums, and for $3 I took it home, with a little light/hood and an airpump...

Well, I can't explain it, you have to take a look at the pictures...:shock::shock:

It is very calming to watch the bubbles rise and wave the roots around...:leaf:

Perfect seed hatchery...:leaf::leaf::leaf:

And you get to watch the progress...!!! SO MUCH FUN....!!!!:weed:

Well, let's see what I come up with next... LOL...:confused::shock:

Enjoy...

Hah Awesome man! Where do you buy that foam???

I wanna try hydro but then again dont wanna worry about pH etc...

Hydro would highly benefit me though because then I can grow inside during the hot arizona summers and winter too =)

I was thinking of some type of Water Culture system...

Do you have any nutes you give to them or just correct pH'ed water??

The first few weeks are kinda intense...just making sure everything will work...

But after a while, once you know what to look for... it becomes very easy and stress free... I would say that after the initial set up, hydro is easier to maintain than soil...

The seeds are germinating in PH'd tap water only, no nutes yet...

The foam was from WM, soft foam pillow... not the best foam for the job but it works...

Start small and work your way bigger... it is a lot simpler than it looks....

You should soooo start an indoor garden...

Not sure what your financial situation, but if you can afford to "blow" 150 bucks and are not sure about how to do the hydro thing, get an AEROGARDEN...

It's simple, fire and forget... and will teach you everything you need to know about growing n water... of course you can make something that works really good for a 3rd of the price (minus lights)....

Good Luck...

REALLY????

I thought about getting a Beta in there...

Now I guess I have to...LOL

Fun Eh?!?!?!? I'm on my way to PETCO.... LOL....
Well, can you spot the domino effect...???

So I did go to PETCO and I did get a Beta... a male crown tail beta I have named Alpha Beta...LOL

So I guess I now have an Aquaponics set-up... though I have no intention of eating the fish...

Please do tell me what you think...

I am not sure if you can see from the pictures, but I have Arugula growing at the bottom of the aquarium, UNDER WATER...!!!:confused::confused:

I am not sure how that is going to work out when it is time to clean the tank... I guess I will have to remove pebble by pebble to free the roots..!?!?!???

Well, I hope you like the pictures...

Cheers...

As soon as the doctors and physical therapists think I am medically stable, I will be going home... and then it all starts for the school project... it should be at least another month, but not more than 2...

I really need to re-learn how to walk good and confident before I can go home though...

The hijacking and release of the thread were actually very fun...
As my friends like to say... I am easily amused....

Hahahaha...!!!!

So gypsy, I ended up forking over $200 for the pro200

I figure if it teaches me, then its worth the money (although I could make one, I tend to be extremely lazy =P)

Ill be growing herbs in it until I get my own place (unless I can get a stealth grow going, but doubt it)

Well man, I for one can not wait for you to get better to start this project =)

And I also am very easily amused :weed: Great gift isn't it? :hump:

Nice...
Did you get an airstone? There is a benefit...
Ph kit? Unless you are really lucky to have perfect ph tap water... a must...

I think if you wait for the herbs to sprout, and then throw in a "kind" seed, no one will notice... or even all at the same time...

The herbs look all different from each other, so it will just be a different one... keep it small by tying it, and you could even stealth it a bit by modifying the leaf with scissors ...

Good Luck!!!

Oh! Are you starting a journal...? It would be cool to see your garden from zero to done... just a thought...

If I wasnt afraid my parents would beat my ass for even attempting to hide it then i would so grow a small plant =)

I need to wait for my next paycheck (2 weeks) til I can buy nutes, ph tester, etc...

But it shouldnt get here til late next week im guessing...

And I might just start a grow journal here in the gardening forum

P.S.

If I do toss a "kind" seed in, ill tie it down into a circular shape and let the stems grow up or w/e that method is called (4got)

Mainly planning on doing basil, cilantro, and maybe a pepper plant too

If you are in someonelse's home, you should most DEFINITELY NOT GROW POT...

In my opinion, it's a respect thing... if you ask and get permission it's one thing... but to hide it would be a bad thing... your parents may lose their home over it... not worth the heartache...

Grow veggies... get good at it... you will not be wasting effort... you will learn and eat...!!!

When you get your own space, then do what you want...

Just my opinion... not telling you what to do... I am a dumb ass... never take advice from me... make up your own mind about stuff...

Anyway.. just had to say that... sorry...

Well, I will be watching for your grow journal...

If you have seeds, just throw thwm in there with some tap water... you can always adjust the PH later... they may just start up and go...

Well, take care...

Yah I don't plan on growing til I move out to an apartment then Ill set up a hydro grow box

And my veggies will be very yummy =)

I can't wait for that aerogarden already... I wanna start now =P

I guess in a couple days I can start germinating some seeds

Im sure they will do fine in pH'ed water for a while (I've got a clove of garlic in just tap water with an air stone... Last week or so it really jumped up in growth (no nutes or anything))
