this is my design on a aeroponic system..its pretty simple.here r some pics

bottom rez has the pump and nutez,i just use gh flora i have some air stones in there too ..idk if that even helps..

thats a pretty sweet setup u got there.. i've been to afraid to make the switch to hydro setup.. Your setup looks very clean and simple. Did you just put it together yourself.. or did you check out any tutorials? +rep by the way

looked at a few online then just put my own together..leaked so i had to seal the lid but ya

actually i just run it 24/7 and i gota clean out the micro jets ounce in a while..and the water gets pretty warm from the pump running so i fill a 2 liter with water n freeze it and through it in there a while. but its growing pretty good no nute burn, roots are healthy ill take a pic of my plant again in a lil :mrgreen:
 
go pick up a 1 minute on 4 minute off timer for your pump, it will cost about 80 dollars but it's well worth it.
 
thats alot 4 a timer damn..mabey ill look on ebay lol do u think 15 min on/off is good enough 4 now or at least better that 24/7? tnx

the aeroponic setup i made works great but i cant tell if it is a male or not yet..maybe u can? thnxx
 
Pretty cool. I think you convinced me to go with the container on top of container design. Do you think having some water in the root bucket for a bubbler as a backup is a good idea or would that ruin the whole purpose of doing aeroponics?

Oh, and there is a hack of turning a westek timer into a 35 minute timer instead of 24 hours so it gives you like 45 seconds intervals. (check youtube) I plan on doing 50 seconds on, 3.5 minutes off.

Did your plant flower? Do you have any other pics?

What is the round thing you use for drainage?
 
It's exactly like the Stinkbud veg unit but his has a lot more holes. I have one and it works great.
 
HI everyone, Im new to this site and I have a question. Not sure if Im in the right spot here...maybe someone could help me out a bit.....Anyway...I recently started with bubble and aeroponics...very new to me....what Im trying to figure out is how to muffle the noise from the bubbles/water. It is a necessity,..they are in an enclosed room..but quite obvious that something is going on in there....any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Welcome to RIU chico. You just hijacked the thread but I'm guessing the OP will give you a pass since you're brand new. You could try using two airstones, the bigger the better, and you can insulate the outside of the rez to cut down on the noise.
