Do you think its possible to get 26oz dry quality bud with minimal popcorn shite running DWC done right with 4 plants in a 4x4 tent using a 600?
Yes, you veg them long enough, scrog them right, you'll probably do better than that.

Was a joke from dobbs comment, should have quoted. Where he was saying he could a lot more from fluorescents than 1000w hps.

The water straight out of my fish tank would clog sprayers fast. I use aquaponic dwc troughs for growing other plants.

Lol, its not nice to mess with a medicated mind like that. I easily overlook satire when stoned..

Talkin shit huh. Well let me make it clear. If u dont get 2zips per site on an actual aeroflo not a knock of diy. You are not doing something right. Funny seems like the only people who got some shit to say is fellow diy people. Come on what u going to save few hundred bucks? That in it's self is an insult to cannabis cultivation. You cant diy on the key to aeroponics, the sprayers.

I haven't saved any money. I just understand that not all squares fit in circles holes, if you can understand my metaphor. I've used many store bought systems. Hell I own a hydroponic store. Many systems work well, some dont. I'm not saying you're stupid, I know you know your shit. I've read many of your posts, including the ones where you say hydro sucks. I'm glad you've broadened your mindset since 12'.

You made it perfectly clear that if people can't grow to what you think the standards of the aeroflo 36 is, that,
1 they shouldnt be growing,
2 they're doing something wrong,
3 they should not use hydro and go back to soil,
4 store bought is better than DIY,

But all of that means squat here. People come here to learn, get ideas and show off. You completely skipped all that and instead replied with your own version of, "you suck, I'm the best". Noone here cares.

And to be perfectly clear.... yes you can, just maybe not to, again, your idea of perfect aeroponics.

  1. a plant-cultivation technique in which the roots hang suspended in the air while nutrient solution is delivered to them in the form of a fine mist.
My current system is simply an upgraded version of the aquamist. Yes, store bought. I use the exact same sprinkler heads.

I've had that problem and coped. I check my sprinklers 1-2 times a day, just to make sure.

With enough veg and pruning skillz maybe. Dwc csn get mad yield especially rdwc. But im thinking aero trumps that. How can u get any more oxyget to the root than suspending them in oxygen.
That was meant to say 24oz as in 6 per plant in a sqm?

Ok i just want to apologize to u and anyone else i may have seemed to have offended. Im not tryin to say im better or anybody is worse. But getting 1 pound off of something that u can get 2 or 3 times that out of with a little dialing in of everything... i want that guy to want better for himself and dont be satisfied with a single # on an aeroflow 36 with 1000 watts. I want everyone here to grow the best shit around, swear to god. I shouldnt have said u should go back to soil, thats my bad. So im not going to argue anymore. Also, i stated from the beginning that the sprayers were what couldnt be diy. That they were where it lies. Hats off to the diy hell i like to do that kind of shit more than most people

Yeild size is better measured by watts. The rule of thumb is a gram per watt. Im sorry bdt1981, but 2oz or more off every plant using a 1000watt light is a "fairytail"; less if 600watt. If there isnt pictures, it never happened. Any experienced grower should get a couple of pounds off the aeroflo36; a little over 35oz. or 2.2lbs, using 1000watts. If youre doing this, you are, infact, doing it right. In my original post I was quoting for 600watts. Using 1watt : 1g, you should be getting about 1.3 pounds. I ALWAYS use the motto, "hope for the best, plan for the worst".
Even as an experienced grower, shit happens (I.E. bugs, bulbs dying, pumps dying, power outages, etc.), and no one posts their worst grow, only their best.

You probably saw a post of someone's best grow ever, whom had them scrogged out a bit to get more space and used with 2-3 lights, at 3oz per plant. CO2, imo, is nice to have, but is just a waste of money unless you have a sealed room, and I don't mean a tent.

The whole reason of DIY is for an improvement on other systems, whether improving, making cheaper, using what you already had on hand, or completely new idea. If I were to build an Areoflo, I'd buy the exact heads GH used, or use the heads on the system i alread had on hand. ....And the coolest part od DIY is, you can always change and improve your own design.

Your apology is accepted. I, too, apologize in underestimating your experience level. Good luck on you new purchase with it, and please keep us up to date on your grow.

My aero was a gift. There is a thread with 2.5 gm per watt aero. And u did say 600 or 1000. But anyway im going sealed room this time just big enough, its like 60x60 my question is does a carbon filter eliminate the need to bring in outside air? Im way over kill with a 10 in fan and the filter is like 30 in long and its 10 in.
