Aerospring Aeroponics

So I'm building an Aerospring Aeroponics system, and I have a large clear reservoir I am going to use. Could this pose a problem because of light being able to get to the roots? Are the roots light sensitive?

Also I am thinking of transplanting some seedlings right now (cant get pics sorry) into the aero system, but i know theyre roots are prolly hella long and theyre gonna get fucked up in the transplant. Do you think this is possible?
Opinions would be great.

Im hella baked right now :joint:

Cover the reservoir with a towel, paint it with flat white paint or something. Getting light down there is going to encourage an algae outbreak. Light also decreases a type of hormone called auxin and it could be the case that getting large amounts of light in the roots will decrease the rate of growth of the roots.

I've tranplanted plenty of plants from soil to aero. You've just got to be very gentle and I take the plant out of the the container with the soil and put it in water slowly working the soil off of the roots. I then put the plant in another container of water and clean the roots again. Then you can put it in the aero chamber.

Okay, thanks for the help.

I think I might spray-paint it black. Sound good enough?
