After Flowering

So after the plant is fully flowered and I cut and harvested, then do you just switch the light from 12/12 back to 24/0 and after its grows again then flower it again? thanks -s|ean

Thats not at all what happens. At about this time, you start kicking yourself for not reading about how to clone or produce seeds.

you could have revegged but im assuming you choped your whole plant in that case get some seeds and start over again, what your talking about is when people only really harvest the main cola and throw the rest of the plant back into veg.

My plants still in vegging right now. I haven't made it flower yet and I haven't cut it or anything. But when its done vegging and I make it flower then what do I do after I get the colas? like can the plant just be left in flowering and keep making colas for the cutting? or what? thanks

no when its done if you want to continue growing the plant and get a harvest off of it, you only harvest the top 1/3 of the plant and leave the rest of the branches and buds and put it under 24/0 light for a week and you should start to see some new growth, then the plant is back on veg and you can regrow new branches and new buds, but thats a whole other cycle. you cant just keep a plant in flower the plant will mature to a point where it dies, the only way to keep it alive for another grow is to put it back in veg. kinda confusing but i hope this answers that question.

no worries i didn't take clones or keep a mother either on my grow but im not too bummed. was more of a great learning experience getting some nice buds i think. and when i move into my house im going to do it right and set up a whole room for this and ordering some preimium seeds im thinking traveling thai, and Northernlights x Haze.

When revegging, think of pruning your roses in December. Take the harvest, but leave a little green growth toward the bottom of the plant. You don't need very much green, just enough to get started again. Then turn you lights to 18/6 to start the vegging going again. The new growth will start in about three weeks and will look very weird. The new leaves will start growing out of their weirdness and start growing normal again. Once you have a nice bush going again, you can take the cuttings and start growing from clones. Continue vegging the plant until its reached the size you want, then go 12/12 again ... and wait for the next harvest.

if you cut off the top cola and then send it back into veg, how do the others buds react?
do they get bigger in veg? or die off?
or should you try and cut off all of the buds before re-vegging?

I'm in this same situation right now where my plants are in veg, but I'm only a few weeks away from flowering and I'm not sure what to do to keep the genetics.

Is it easier to clone or easier to pollinate one of my females?
