thats true. homebrewer doesnt even get a gram per watt you end up paying much less for nutes than he does
to be honest its 1.47$ per gram, thats how much a gram cot me to grow . . .a commercial farmer will be much lower even one with lights and not sunlight, at least they should be . . .

grams per watt .89 is my best with canna

best ive done with my recipe is .96 grams per watt

Those are nice looking plants . Some may advocate my way or no other but have mastered their way and have some great advice if chosen to grow that way or simliar . What works for one may not work for the other always either . A grower has to find what works for them not what worked for someoneelse . I've been down that road and suffered all the pitfalls but have found what works for me . I dont need dyna gro to do what I do , I can get similar results with different nutes . It just boils down to what technique you learn and employ way more on the technque/experiance of the grower than the nute . We just "fine tune" with what nute works best for the needs of the individual grower .

Just to be clear, it costs you one dollar and forty seven cents to produce a gram? What are you including in that figure?

And by the way, where did you even come from? You're growing some healthy plants and some frosty meds, how is this thread in any way relevant to you?

Just out of curiosity, how does that break down?
this is not exact as i have not done an exact analysis in a year(when it was 1.47 a gram)
1400 nutrients a year
350 on soil( i re-use mine) a year
300 a month electricity so 3600 a year
350 a year bulbs

comes to 5700 dollars at cost (guesstimated could be 10 or 20% more . . .)

i grow about 37.6(two rooms 4.5 cycles a year)pounds a year, avg, right now for, 5700 in cost to produce 16875 grams for .33 dollars gram(guess my old estimates included pay)

so if i include 20k(decent laborers wage in my state) salary then that comes to 1.52 dollars a gram

man i hope my math is right. . . lol . .but if its wrong, in my own defense this is the way i would have done it last time, i dont include one time expenses like A/C's or pots . . ..

One time expenses for items to be used repeatedly are called sunk costs. You should count them, but of course the longer you operate and the more reliable your equipment/sunk cost the less it ends up being.

ya i know, its been 5 years now, i know there are other cost like tarps and tags green bulbs . . . and other stuff, but its not goign to offset the cost that much . . . .

Dyna Gro -VS- Advanced Nutrients - Harvesting Shots The yield was a tie, but he seems to like the quality of Dyna-Gro better (using 1 part formula). Not sure if they were clones though or seeds.
I gotta say, this is awesome. I'm so glad that someone actually did some test grows. Better them than I. LOL

It's interesting to read about and while I'm going to stick with AN, it's nice to see someone who actually did the work to back up what they're talking about.

thats nice to hear that you got the conni dialed in now what ec are you at? can you please let us now how the final yield and quality compared with h&g? o i almost forgot did you find the need to use cal mag with AN? hellraizer the moderator in the hydro forum says deficiencies always show if your using AN without calmag. ever since i heard that im thinking about adding it in as one of my additives. i also remember scooby uses calmag and his plants look off the hook

Fresh 2 De@th i hope everything works out for you as far as plant health goes. i got a feeling your gonna be switching back to gh real soon i wasnt feeling dg at all on all levels
1000ppm max flower. The p.e could take more but shes happy at 1000ppm. If hellraizor says use calmg Id take his word. Hes never gave me bad advice and I know nothing about a.n. I did use calmag (a.n's) toward the end but as I said earlier my conni part B had chunks and im pretty sure it was calcium solidified because 3 weeks in and they were screaming for ca. I started with no calmag.

Next a.n run I will add a little calmag from the start and not have precipitate in the bottles. Oh and I will be sure to share my results with H&G also.

ok now i remember your situation lol i got a bad memory. yeah so i think im gonna start using calmag like you guys. a while ago i was reading the back of the bottle to a friend of mine who uses gh and he told me the nutes were lacking calmag. i should of just added it then when he told me. thanks for the info

HB what would you suggest?

here's the top of the plant

and here's the bottom
IMG_1855 - Copy.jpg
from my understanding, a nitro deficiency starts from the tip and works its way towards the back and a mag deficiency along the edges with green veins. from the bottom pic it would be safe to say its a mag issue, but im no pro so don't quote me on it.
my runoff from last watering was @ 5.9 ph and 460ppms. i've used dyna bloom along with mag pro the last time i fed them so it's safe to say mag pro isn't worth too much.

@Tree king- my apologies for hi jacking the thread, please forgive me. thanks in advance.

your run off is low dont you think in PPM's shouldnt it be closer to 1000ppm

add some more food to your plants diet . . . . . . then no deficiency

Calmag could make more difference than Jesus reappearing. ;) Hope it works!

i do feed, water, feed and at that instance it was line to be watered. also HB suggest that is way to high to be feed 27" clone (something i totally disagree on). another thing that concerns me is that whenever i feed with dyna gro my ppms always come out less than what i put in. the only time i seen it increase was when i feed back to back.

your saying you recommend it?
i take it he meant it wouldn't help, if not, he lost me as well.

Yes especially if you use RO water, in which similar stuff is in tap water called electrolytes/salts and your nutes don't have much of it. AN also has SensiCal Mg Mix, unless you're using that but Cal-Mag is very popular and could solve a number of issues as that's an important part. Not that I don't like Jesus, but some people... Sorry if I sounded sarcastic. Happy growing and toking! :D

Im blasted but I cannot stop lol after reading this.

Fyi it would be a big difference if Jesus reappeared = calmag would make a big deal/difference

You know the scientific evolution theory, the big bang theory, it would all be destroyed if Jesus just came down and started performing hands on miracles.

Just to clear up the statement

And some more lol. No offense intended.
