AgroMax 600w Hybrid Bulb.... Any users?

eh your killin your lumen output by about 30,000 lumens...compaired to the regular agromax 600w hps bulb idk if id want to sacrifice that much for the dual arc. even though its better spectrum its probly still going to cause yield loss due to that big of a lumen drop but ya idk any of this for sure :) just my opinion.

unless like you wanan use this in the start of flowering when they are doing their little preflower stretch then switch to full hps after about a week 1/2 / 2 weeks ...that might be preaty cool and then maybe for the last week of flowering for more uv? better resin output then :P

Oh I use 400w hps myself, just happen to see that bulb though it was worth mentioning and seeing if anyone used it.

oh no fer sure man i remember seein it on there a few weeks back i was impressed aswell it is quite interesting concept :P , just from goin from 95k lumen on a regular to 65k? on the dual arc is depressing :( , if you look though they have like enhanced hps lights on there with like 30% more "blue" spectrum , and they actually boost more lumens then the standard hps lights. check it out heres one for example my next bulb im ordering - http://www.htgsupply.com/Product-GrowBright-250-Watt-HPS-Lamp.asp

im goin with the cheaper brand cuz i already have a growbright magnetic ballast and bulb and they been workin fine for about a year now...time to change the bulb though. Gonna upgrade to digital ballast soon too. Can i ask how hot your 400 watter gets? i do really want to get a bigger light but im already havin problems keepin the tent cool in the summer the way it is :( 250 just not producing as much as i would prefer :)

oh and when i said "your killing your lumen output" i didnt mean you personally i just ment by using that bulb anyone in general~ would be killing their lumen output. sorry my mistake :)

400 doesnt get that hot IMO... I keep the light about 10-14" above the plants and there is almost not heat to my hand holding it right above the plants. Kinda reason I went with 400 instead of 600, did a heat test at a shop and noticed with the 600 at 12" it was quite warm on the back of my hand, had to go to about 18-20" to get the 12" feeling of the 400w. I figured the lumen loss in that additional 6-8" would only be a slight benefit over the 400w, and the difference in heat of the room = more $.

I am actually considering trying the new PlantMax bulb, have heard some really good things about it and its DIRT cheap, like $25 or less shipped.
