Air circulation or just wind blowing around?

In regards specifically to environmental control and not the perceived importance of doing so, is there an effective difference between giving air a particular path around the room versus just having fans blow shit around? Both scenarios assume as much air coverage as possible and little to no hotspots. I have an 8x8x8 "room" in my otherwise unfinished basement (basically a big ass ugly DIY growbox, if I'm being honest) and I am still trying to determine the most efficient way to control the environment.

Most folks run a fan or two to circulate the air around the plants. I don't think it really matters if it's going in one particular direction or not. The plants don't like fans that constantly blow on one spot or super cold air from an A/C; so it's worthwhile re-routing those.

What lights you using on them? That makes a differance to removing heat or just blowing air around. Ive gotten away with just blowing it around with a rotating fan in a 3*3 tent no aditional fans with a 400 watt mh/hps

In this room at this particular time, an HLG 600R and a Mars TSL-2000 but I am only asking re: airflow/circulation. I have exhaust covered.

That's more or less what I have. Actually, I have a shit ton of fans at my disposal, 2 Hurricane wall mounts, a couple regular floor standing oscillators and a box fan. I'm just trying to maximize efficiency rather than having 4 fans fighting each other. I'm still unsure if there is a reasonable difference trying to guide the air along a specific path or just blowing shit around. I'm certain I am overthinking things and it probably doesn't make a big enough difference at this small of a scale but nothing is ever good enough for me and I think about this crap all day long.

You have 512cf of growroom to get some air moveing around, so four fans for a 4*4 tent should do the job, but im not familiar as to which ones are the best, secret jarden seem to be the ones that pop up when i searched for fansfor my tent, but ive herd that they go wrong frequantly if iremember correctly.but im sure someone will chime in with some good brands.you have exaust sorted which will move them around allready, so four should do the rest of the job

This is how I would do it I would use one of your box fan to hang high and direct it to your lights so it mixes the air with top and bottom of the room then you can use the 2 hurricanes to oscillate at the plants but not too strong just to make the leaves dance

I understand your frustrations lol , I'm helping my cousin in Canada set something up and it's difficult even there to get certain things u end up having to pay a bunch more in import fees or companies just don't even send ..

Aside from some light squeaking, I am happy with the hurricanes so far. What about airflow at the floor level/under the canopy? That is what I have my box fan doing now.

Plant food for one, some of the peters plant food has a twenty five doller postal fee
Best price I found on Part B $67 for 25 lbs. No extra fees to ship it either. I think it's indoor Growing Canada that hit me with those. I buy a lot of my grow supplies from the US now. Just ordered 4 Meanwell drivers but I did it from Digikey.com not ca. A lower price, no tax, they come from the States anyway. I will pay 20% exchange and I had a $40 customs fee BUT all that is hidden in the price we pay in Canada. I had a rant about the Scorpion Diablo before. Easy $500 cheaper if you buy it from the US site.

There's a member @AquaTerra that jumped into a Jack's post I was in before. In BC, says free shipping on $150 orders but not sure if he charges an extra fee for the big bags of Jack's. Best price I've seen on Part A though.
