air cooled super novas or sunstretcher xxxl hhmm

depends on the foot print of the light, ive had my 6in air cooled tubes 6 inches from the canopy but at that height the coverage was a joke, the air cooled hoods seem to have a better foot print at lower heights, typically cooled tubes are cheaper so take that into consideration. also if you have smaller plants thatll be a bonus with both reflectors as the light will penetrate more denser foliage compared to an uneven canopy and buds at varying heights.

also ballasts and brands dont offer any advantage to growing besides maybe the "super lumen" function which doesnt justify buying a 190$ air cooled Ipower brand lignt then some quantum ballast or other brands who believe that higher pricing = better growth.

i own 7 ipowers and they all have lasted 4 grows (3 months a grow) and are still going strong besides the occassional light bulb replacement.

didnt see that they are both hoods and not tube/hood. in this situation id get the super nova as a 600w being reflected by that large reflector will cause less lumens per sqft as you shouldnt try anything above a 4x4.

probably the bigger one then since its rectangular and not square, also alot of light is going to be wasted unless you have a reflective material on the walls inches from the plants and preferably on all sides, i use a 4x8 foam sheet from a local hardware store and then i tape mylar to it to be able to move one wall from the growing area and allows me to cover all angles and since its not a full sized wall you can use fans to control heat, just add a smaller fan at the base of the plants and above for better air flow.

im not a newbie, i grow 60plants every 8weeks and like i say this is my 2nd grow room im setting up. i don't need info on set up of my room like fans and shiz...all im asking is what light out the 2 to go for, its clear you don't know silicity ;-)

well im not trying to school you or look down upon your knowledge, itd be best if they made a reflector for more rectangular grows, i dont see why you wouldnt use something like the aeroflo 2 60 site as its more square and your lighting would be more effecient. maybe cause of the room design? idk, but knowing or seeing how shits gonna get setup its more of a shot in the dark, the bigger reflector will spread more light to the sides than the smaller reflector which will produce a smaller foot print.

your growing area is different than most and light coverage is going to be shittier overall.

no feck that nft trays all the way, no leaks at all no matter how old your set-up gets. i know of many who have been busted with leaks from grows going in to others flats........ no not for me

im not sure what to comment on as it seems like its been solved, its all about the foot print of the light. figure out the foot print and compare which light gives better coverage over your growing area.
