Having grown out Serious Seeds AK 47 as well as Nirvana's AK 48, I prefer the AK 47.
They are similar, but for this strain I prefer the original version, there is a pheno from Serious which is tasty and outstanding, producing heavy,yummy, stony buds.
I love most of the Nirvana strains that I have grown out...IMO, Nirvana's Papaya is superior to KC Brains Mango, From which it is supposed to have originated.
I also love Nirvana's version of Northern Lights, but it does have a high degree of variability of phenotypes.
But for an AK----stick with Serious!!!

AK-48 is Nirvana's ICE x Jock Horror.
A phenotype is not a strain, a phenotype is all the noticeable traits in a plant. Anything you can taste, smell, see, etc. When you make seeds, each seed gets some genes from mom and some from dad, just like we do they show variety (they have dominant and recessive genes, hetro, and homo etc.). All this genetic code is known as a genotype.
So say you have 2 different looking plants from the same strain, you have two different phenos, and possibly two different genotypes If you cross a plant with green leaves with one with blues leaves, you might get some with blue leaves and some with green leaves, you have two different phenos. They would also be two different genotypes, meaning their DNA is different. Now this was just an example, it gets much more complicated and 50/50 blue to green is just to explain what a pheno is. Also phenos can change due to enviornment.
i.e. A plant might not show any purple traits unless it "lives" around a certain temp., this is also why clones taken from the same mother look so different if one is hydro and one is soil, they also have the same genotype (gene sequence), but they look different due to enviornmental factors, their phenotype.

Nah, the closest thing I have going thats a "fruity" strain is Heavy duty fruity from TH seeds.
My reference to "how could they do harm", well if Nirvana found a decent pheno of mango and crossed it with a decent male of the same line, maybe just maybe it would be better than KC brains mango. I'm just not a big fan of gambling on the lower end banks genetics. We are talking at minimum 3 months of growing. I prefer to spend a little more (or have gifted to me) some stable genes and roll with that.

F2s are good for finding that special plant, its good for breeders too. But I agree with SmokerE, if your not breeding or trying to find a special mom for clones then go with good genes. f2s have tons or genetic variety, its where the gene pool shows itself most. Its like playing the lotto sometimes you win and get some nice keepers and sometimes you lose and get crap.

Thanks, I was curious, because Nirvana's Papaya is one of the best that this company offers....I have not tried all (I have tried apx. 15 of their strains) of the types offered by Nirvana, however.........most of Nirvana's strains did not disappoint me.
The two that I was least impressed with were California Orange and the AK-48......

Certainly I would agree that there is more variability from most of Nirvana's knock-offs, but it is truly possible to find some awesome moms.
I have been more disappointed with many much higher priced strains from so-called 1st tier Breeders than my experience with Nirvana.

why burn them, cos you have fucked up, when you had some, dont take it out of the seeds, cos you fucked up your grow.

can you explain what you mean. well if all 4 are different, wouldnt that just be, "swings and rounderbouts" , so to speak some good and some bad.
ill just keep the best plants for mothers.
is that why all the seeds are nearly the same price.£10.$20 to £20. $40.
