AK Bean Brains. What’s the verdict?

Irrespective of who is legitimate it generally seems as if Matt Riot tries to delegitimize anyone who offends his weed ego. He regularly denigrates breeders in the style of preacher appealing to belief rather than providing information. Honestly this behaviour looks like a self serving bully, childish, and makes him seem so untrustworthy that as a regular consumer why would you risk giving him money?

Ak bean brains doesnt bully people and looks to have an Interesting catalogue. Looks worth some exploration to me, whether there will be a holy grail in there, who knows.
Matt Riot is a total fraud. I'm a bit older than him but came up in San Diego playing in the punk scene. He's wrong about so, so much. I had to turn the first Potcast episode of his off because he was so full of shit and misinformation.

Damn Classic Genetics died last year I think
Man that sucks. I'm not a breeder or selling anything, just been obsessed with growing since helping my dad with his backyard Oaxacans in the late 70s. I had to come up with a profile name when I decided to join insta and forums finally last year so chose classic genetix because well, those are my favorite genetics lol. Wasn't looking for hype or sales so the name didn't matter much. Found out about the real Classic a few months ago but didn't know he passed! Much respect and RIP to any growmie.
That being said, I stand by my statement that Matt Riot is way too obnoxious for a guy as wrong/deceitful as he is

So on the topic of AKBB, I've run 4 of his strains so far and all were solid.

The first was his CGPR x TKNL5HAZE he calls Darien Gap. Went about 60 days and yielded 4 oz of dense, insanely resinous herb. It's a trippy, heavy kind of high that I usually go for in the evenings. Amazing raspberry jam smell.

Also ran the 1989 NL5 x NL5 and it was phenomenal. Such a great, idiot proof plant to grow and the smoke was that classic NL5.

My favorite of them all though is the BOEL Oaxacan x Dwarf Oaxacan. The Mexicans and Oaxacan especially are my all time favorites and this one gives most of the Oaxacan magic but in a manageable plant (10 weeks). Most vigorous plants I've grown in a long time and they get cranky and invert leaves when you don't get their particular combo of humidity and heat, but tough as nails.

I let the plants do the talking and I'm happy with his work so far. I wouldn't grow the NL again but only because I've had enough NL for one lifetime and a fridge of beans to get through. If anyone is looking for NL, I absolutely recommend. Same for the Darien Gap in terms of growing again, it's strong and a good high but too "indica-hybrid" for my tastes and I've got too many other beans to run. I've got a friend who swears it's the greatest herb he's ever had, and I smoked some last night, so I'd still recommend. The Oaxacan is one I can't recommend enough. Such a classic buzz and fun grow, this makes converts out of people. I had one guy tell me it was a spiritual experience for him and it's more or less the same happy, holy weed it was decades ago. Banks always sell out within a day but he may have some via email.

If you love sativas or grew up getting righteously high on summer days with your buddies back in the 80s/90s, this will be a trip back in time. I've got more than a dozen Oaxacans and hybrids from different breeders and preservation runs and this isn't the gnarliest, but this one is a winner for how fun it is to grow and that you get a pretty representative Oaxacan high in a modern flowering window rather than 18 weeks. The vigor and headsnapping, happy high are something else. I'm actually pollen chucking my Mexican Death Sativa, AG x Oaxacan, 16 week Cryptic Oaxacan and MOX to it this run to see what's retained and how much flowering time / fussing is removed when they're hit with it. Hope you dig it

I have been eyeing his genetics for a while, but Matt Riot is calling him a farce. What do y’all say? I’m a young-er fellow so I don’t know those old genetics. Memories fade and all but who has popped his stuff and can attest?
Akbean Brains is as legit as they get. Matt riot is a total Clown.
