Ak47 leaf problems. Over feeding?

Hi all just need some advice from the photos attached. I am currently growing 4x ak47 in hydro pebbles. What do you suspect the leaf damage to be? They were going great then I changed the water kept the ph at 5.7-5.8 but I added more nutes. When I first planted then the ppm was 400 then a week later I changed the water and put more feed in and the ppm went up to 816. I changed the water another week later (Tuesday just gone and the ppm is now 960. Am I killing it with the nutes. It appears the leaves have turned in the last day or two.

Are you using calmag.

Are you cleaning the stones when you change the res. dont know if they hold nutes. Somethings chaning your ppm week to week higher. MD

My plants are soil grown but I had an issue similar and it was solved by just feeding plain Ph'd water for a week to two weeks then feeding half strength nutes once a week

Btw it's most likely too much calmag but I'm not sure because i dont know what nutes or how much of them you are using

like always it's a hard call. Flushing them with pH'd water is a good idea. It could be too much Calmag or other nutrients.

It would be a bit stupid if your exceeding the dosage ratio on the bottle if you are using calmag.

I wouldn't even use the recommended dosage. That's all I used was recommended dosage or less and I still ran into issues but I switched nutes and have been fine since. The nutrients I had are apparently specifically for hydro and I'm growing in soil. I do half dosage now with fox farms and have been fine since

Lol just a common mistake then.
You need to scrap the soil anyway and do hydro, this is a lot more hygienic.
And less stressful, and easier to maintain.

I've been thinking about it. Maybe next year. The funds just aren't there right now and I have to read up on hydo before just jumping into it. Definitely considering it though

I changed the water yesterday. And ph’d to 5.8. I will keep an eye on them.

Just had a thought, if I just put in plain water and this does cure the problem how will I know? Will the leaves repair itself or will it be some other way?

When I over feed I use plain distilled water 0ppm and I do two waterings till small amount of runoff usually by the time the third watering comes up the plant is good again. I would check runoff ppm. If it's higher than 1000 i would water with plain distilled water again. I'm no pro but this method seems to work for me

I couldn’t get all the water out the tank. Out of 30 litre tank I had about less than a litre. I refilled it then checked ppm and it read 402. I suppose it’s better than nothing

Yeah dude I'm not familiar with hydro systems. So I'm not help here I guess.

Anyone know if what I’ve done is correct?

As you can see the other plants has got the same leaf problems now. Will this end up killing the plants if I can’t get rid of it?

I'm having the same issue but in soil. I watered with plain water let them dry and fed half dose today. Hopefully they'll get back on track. If not I'm just going to use plain water for a week or two.

From what ive been told when watering with plain water to get the plants back on track they usually get worse before they get better. Just use plain water or a very light feed till new growth comes up and doesn't have burnt tips or rust spots

Thanks for the reply, the problem I’ve got with feeding plain water for a week or two is that the plants are big enough so the lighting can go onto 12/12. What do I do?
