Algebra

I got grade 12 math 30 (I think thats what it was) as well as a journeyman pipefitter ticket which took about another year of secondary schooling at a trade school. no algebra though. tons of science and physics though + a little added math... now that stuffs cool.

I was just curious thanks. That's my problem I'm always curious. Physics is fun it's one reason I really enjoyed the upper level math where you could actually engage in some of it.

I remember one time during a course, the teacher (not a math teacher) was showing a way to do something... and he was showing a real confusing way of cross multiplying and a long way to get the answer and a bad job explaining it... some people were struggling. I figured out an easier and quicker way, eliminated all his shitty way, taught it to the class, and he was mad at me over it and wanted them to do it his way haha. too funny. more than 1 way to skin a cat...

Yeah many math teachers are not the best. But you know there's nothing wrong with finding a shortcut. The problem is you have to know why that shortcut worked. But yeah a quicker, easier way had to start with someone, why not you?

at the previous college i was able to copy books. this college, the librarian told me that it was copyright infringement and that the college didnt allow it. so im not sure if the school i went to before paid for the copyright use, or if its something new. so i just take pictures of my homework and lessons. as i said, waiting for financial aid and having the book at home, and not having to check it out for two hours at a time will really be helpful.

and for you mentioning to use any algebra book to learn what i need to learn is something i never thought of. thank you, i found the sixth edition of the book, although its not the right edition, i can still use it to learn what i need to learn.

Yes it was illegal and copyright infringement at the old college too. Like pot isn't? LOL

Math isn't hard at all. It is only challenging to people because they lack the creativity to associate what they do on a regular basis with a formal math problem. Good at math means analytical thinker vs regurgitating thinker. How many times in you life have you had a dollars and 5 dollars and wanted to get quarters for them? One gives you 4 quarters the other gives you 20 quarters. Or you can get pennies one gives you 500 pennies and the other gets you 100 pennies. What is the greatest amount of pennies that can go into both a dollar and 5 dollars? See what I am saying, you already know how to do gcf, use your brain a little.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight..... then could you please explain the use of Lorentz Transformations in mapping 2 to 4 Minkowski space?
Thanks!

It's obvious, isn't it? Thermal expansion.

Had to watch it twice to transform into an arrogant ass bwaaaaaaa hahahaaaaaaaaa! The first time I fixated on the french fries. Thinking about McDonald's french fries mmmmmmmmmmm this morning was Buddha Tahoe OG.... it's really great.

Tahoe was a morning fav of mine for a while! Straight punch to face that stuff was. You know, I had really good results from swerves gear. I know many have had problems but I didn't.

if ya get a chance check out his Larry, Julius Caesar or ogiesel I had great results from these strains. Darn near makes me want to pop this other 10 of Tahoe I have.

lmao situation. lacking creativity because people cant do math. i must say, much of algebra isnt applicable in real life situations unless youre an engineer or have a job that requires much math.

I do math all day when Im not even working or going to school. Yea its simple but that is still math. Isn't this thread about basic math? That is what I am talking about. Of course once you get into calculus based math its a whole nother ball game.

Yeah it's hard enough to be an adult learner without getting your chops busted because shit's not intuitive. I'm glad you got my point. Anyway just keep doing as many of the math problems you can. If something suddenly seems confusing you missed a concept go back for it.

Situation physics *is* math.

Math is life and we use far more of it than we are aware of everyday. For you to drive your car to the gas station and figure out how many gallons for the amount of money you have is algebra. We just do it so much we don't realize sometimes.

Sure, here u go. Hope this helps!

just shut the fuck up situation. if youre not here to help see your way out. youre one of those assholes on here who brings nothing to the table when someone needs help.
