I am about to go out and buy my first hydroponic setup to begin growing.
But I realized I am not exactly sure on what everything I need is, if anyone could please give me the list to what you're using, or setups for beginners that would be awesome.

Well now that you mention this here, I didn't even know their were multiple ways to setup a hydroponic grow.
I can do majority of the research on my own, but would you mind just giving me a brief introduction into each of those hydroponic styles?

Why hydro? Soil would give you a better chance of success. More forgiving,

And Chris, I heard soil was more forgiving, but I heard hydro was more rewarding?

I just figured I'd go for the option that gives the potential for most potent buds when done correctly.

Things I have learned is that going cheap, just means you have to replace it.

Simple things like reflector ratchets make it a breeze to lift lights up and down.

Bluelab gear for measuring ph cf levels etc.

Do go cheap on extraction. Go big and link it to a cool hood / tube.

Just do this man buy a tent what ever size u can fit in a 400 or 600w setup digital mh and hps ballast dimmable r good

Then just buy some seeds good fem seeds depending where u r if Australia buy from bonza or attitude
Get big pots say 4 if in aus otherwise u can go to jail lol
Buy perlite and some soil I use seed raising mix bunnings lol mix 50/50 with perlite start never had a problem doing this if u in a hot area u need intake and exhaust fans ect u don't need a carbon filter straight away look on eBay they have excellent setup for beginners

Cool! This is all very helpful. I appreciate it greatly. Thank you on the eBay hint, but I am trying to not mail anything to my house, trying to do drive the store pay in cash and leave etc..

eBay is safe Man U can norm ring the hydro shop that's selling the kits everything comes very discreet u can pay with a fake PayPal or use a gift Visa card if u worried cops more likely to watch the hydro shops for ppl going in and packing grow gear into there car.most of the time there gear come from a suppliers warehouse so police see nothing from the hydro shops it's entirely upto u tho I've brought chems lights tents ballasts fans ect from eBay just comes in a normal looking box don't say on the box tent or hps light or anything plus it's perfectly legal to have hydro gear

temperature, light and humidity , you must master,
in hydro : ph balance is like blood pressure so don't go cheap on the ph and ppm meters.. i like BlueLAB.
and all that perfect ph is crap forget about it .
and try and keep things as simple as possible .
flower early as opposed to late ... and check on yo shit e'ryday!

Im running deca deep water culture setup on my second grow ever. First got me 6 zips. This time im running cyco nutes with a 1000w hps air cooled hood with 8" inline fan. I have 2 monsters going in a 6x8 room and im touching all four walls and im doing lst technique. Dwc was cheap everything to start was 30-40 bucks

Any harvested weed on your first grow is rewarding. Stop shooting for the stars and spending lots of money up front. IMO, start with soil and start small.

Think of growing as riding a bike and growing DWC as riding a fast motorcycle. Most who start out with hydro end up growing in dirt. Hydro-growing is unforgiving with rookie mistakes. My first 2 hydro grows ended up with 20 dead seedlings. I'm not saying it can't be done, just that dirt growing is a much easier way to get your feet wet.

I'm a newbie but...

When I first started I went out and spent like 3 grand and it was a waste. If I had to start again I'd buy two 5x5 gorilla grow tents with extensions. Build 3 stinkbud jrs which you can Google for schematics, cost about 100 bucks to build each one. 3 water farms with reservoir for dwc mother plants, they are made by general hydro. And an aeroponic cloner with minimum of 10 sites. Go to www.cheaphydroponics.com and get advanced nutes or cyco platinum series, I prefer cyco for how easy they have it set up. Get an 8 bulb t5 for your veg tent. Get a 1000w equivalent led for your flower tent so you don't have to worry about ballasts and helps with heat issues, I prefer an led with 5w leds. Get a phresh filter and 6 inch inline fan for your flower tent. get some regular fans for air flow. Get a PH meter that is water proof and a ppm meter, I really didn't use my ppm meter to much cause I just use suggested amounts of nutrients. Order seeds from herbiesheadshop.com or attitude seed bank. I left out some but if it was me starting over again that is what I would do.
