myco's do a lot of things you don't really think about.

protects your roots from all kinds of stuff, helps them from drying out and PH swings. lets a larger plant live on a smaller root system.

especially with hard plastic pots, that fuzzy layer keeps the roots on the side looking good.

if you have ever seen a root ball w/o mycos, its much larger and can have lots of color variations from past or existing/past infections or problems.

In the field it supposedly links plants together and it communicates info. Like a nearby pest infection or blight.

I'm sorry I don't have the study I ran across to share.

It doesn't do this with all plant species though.

This is the product I am going to try
http://clonex-root-maximizer-vs-competion.businesscatalyst.com

It has some bacteria species as well. I have read that generally you end up with a stronger myco or bacterial colony and whichever dominates chokes the other out?
I'm not looking to learn to deep into the organic science of it but if I throw this on a few plants and see a benefit with my own eyes I will continue to use it.
Protection from disease is one thing that I was told about the product. Which as we grow longer and smarter we know it is better to prevent problems to begin with.
Cannabis does form a relationship with myco but broccoli / cauliflower will not :hump:

Seems like a good company to trust.

I will sure be interested to see if it colonized and helps in the perlite/coco with no organic input.

growmau5 did a grow with mammoth a few months ago

A few of my friends use Photosynthesis & love it.
I'll tell you what, never mix the 2. Even in low doses.
Nice SBA's Evil. We need to talk about your GG later. How are they so compact n beefy? Mine are vines everywhere & totally OC.
Are you gonna flower side by side 2 of the same. Auto Cobs vs HPS? Please do. I'm doing 2 GG's & 2 Mystery strains under a Thouie & 2 Pro-4's.
Doubt I'll be SC'ng this run so I can do the side by side.
Great looking garden bro.
You like having your hps back hu!
That big tent's exactly what you needed!

Hit me up whenever brother happy to discuss anything with you.

Yes I am happy to have my HPS back and even happier to have the bigger space. Now I can grow more how I like to without as much constraint. I am planning do do a side by side with both lights will most likely use autos first then try photos because right now the idea is the 4x8 be for flowering out photos leaving one of the 3x3 for veg and the other for whatever I want. I am thinking of running my autos perpetual in the COB tent. I just want to get a look at this Hubba Bubba first under them and then go from there. The SBA I think are my best looking plants right now they have adjusted to the new system the quickest.

As for the GG they are much vinier than they lead on in the pics. I will definitely have to support them when they start to bud up but I still have not flipped the lights lol. They're gonna need a good defoliation when I flip so I'm just waiting for everyone in the tent to adjust to tap water and the new dirt and then for the smaller plants to get a little bigger and I will then take cuts and flip the lights. So happy to get a run finished under the two 600's and really surprised by how well these raptor hoods spread the light.

Cool! So the Raptors seam to be working out w/ the 600's?
BigSmo used to grow that HubbaBubbaSmellascope & liked it. Gave home some big yields if I remember correctly. Like 1.5# using 3 plants under his SE-450's.
I was reading on the Bodhi seed web-site & the autos available look tempting these days.
Trying to find the smelliest most desired strains that can compete in this crazy mkt & still produce decent yields. I'm totally lost though. Where I'm at, if it's not candy coated crystals & super pungent smell, then they're off to the next guy, no matter how good it may smoke. It's just not right.
Does anyone have any suggestions of a dank strain to get & from what seed bank? I've never grown from seed all the way through but am eager to get going on it. About to run some LA Woman (phenos 1-5), Zombie OG (2 phenos) & Purple Chem (1 pheno). This will be my first attempt @ pheno hunting. They're first gen clones from seed that have already been sexed. Didn't top, pinch them or anything. So I guess it'll be my first attempt @ a SOG too. Also flowering them in so called 3 gall pots I got from the grow store. Weird cuz they are about half the size of the 3's I use to veg for the second month. They're not even as big as the 2 gall buckets I get from the Depot to cure & store.
Your plants are so full n beastly. Good job! You've worked hard & tried so many different styles,mediums,lights,nutes,ext...to get where you're at w/ the big tent. I think you're gonna do awesome.
Have you decided whether you're gonna cage them, scrog them or what?
My GG's were getting to tall, so I bunched them up about neck height & just cut like 18"-2' right off the top. Super-Topping I like to call it. Didn't want to cut all those main branches as they produce the biggest colas but hey, we gotta do what we gotta do right!?!
Yeah, I'll show you a pic of my GG's later on as I'm moving them into the flower room. No where near as nice as yours look. All appears pretty healthy though so hopefully my last run of this year will be a success. Long over due.
I'm doing the side by side just to make sure I want all led for 2018. All yr I messed up my runs using Plant Dr. I think so I now need another true assessment of my lighting to be sure it hasn't contributed to my losses. I doubt it but it's time to refresh my memory as far as the differences go.
I know the LEDs are deff not cooler then vented hps, that's for sure. At least not w/ the drivers built into the housing. I feel that's a terrible design issue that many of these led comp. are not addressing because most purchasers are using them in smaller environments w/o CO2 & an exhaust constantly running. Guess I'll just have to get my mini-split re-installed.
Damn, rambling on the toilet.
Your thread is one of the better ones Evil, keep up the good work my man!

I've been playing with the Plant Doctor, it is not causing your quality issues assuming you are not applying it within the last 4 weeks of flower.
Apparently it takes 2-3 weeks and then converts to phos and potassium that the plant will metabolize.
I tried it on some tomato's outside that were loaded with blight or some other fungal issue and holy shit - 100% health turn around.
I will be using it as a preventative from here out most likely.
Foliar in veg and then at the root zone only during the first half of flower :hump:

Oh, it deff works, that's for sure.
I'm so glad to hear you're not getting any neg results from it. Did you try it off my recommendation? If so, I would've fealt terrible if it messed your shit up.
Guess I need to look deeper into my issues. It could be one of the many things I changed this year, or all of them, who freaking knows anymore.
All I know is I used to pull an average of 10#'s of bomb down every harvest n not anymore. Dying leaves, locked out plants, lack of smell, fluffy w/ mad popcorn. Just a total shit show.
Have you harvested n dried your material that you used the Dr. On?
I only used it in veg. The plants that may have had to much have something I call "The Sickness". Many times they look great in veg (slower growth though) & then in flower they shit the bed.
Signs of "the sickness" in veg are: slower growth, smaller leaves, when you break a branch you'll see fine fibers (hairs) connecting them, difficulty cloning, & last but not least, a nasty white ooze comes out of the stalk & sometimes clones when cut.
The only plants to have "The Sickness" we're ones I treated w/ the Dr.
Just be careful brother. Not to much, & use it when they're young.
