Can also run the exhaust into your main sewer line/ snake access in the basement....... like some guys did back in the day, save money on not needing filters and "unleash" all the cfms of you blower / help your temps being unrestricted........... just throwing it out there, lol

I just watched a GrowMou5 video on YouTube where he was talking about the issues many long-time growers are having when they try LED. They have HID so dialed in they just don't need to learn a new way of growing. I saw Subcool go through this very issue.

I can't wait to build my sealed grow lab with CO2 and LEDs. I want to dial everything in until the plant growth and resin production is maximized.

The debates are wonderful. The passions runs high. That is why I like science and measuring.

The remaining girls in the garden are starting to frost up nicely. The Proto sativa smells like those thick flip flops they sell in grocery stores in the summer. I love that smell.

Phantoms a good ballast. I own a few. A good cheapt is the Blue XTra-Sun. Nanolux is a small inexpensive decent one.
I like my Solis-Techs & Phantoms the best though.
Don't buy a Purple Lumatec.

Man what a night/morning. So Last night I got my brother over to help me hang the fan/filter up top and get it off of the 5 gallon bucket on the floor. This in itself dropped the temps a few degrees with the lower flap on the opposite side of the tent open for a passive intake. Then I got to thinking, a lot, and while I still do plan to route the hot air (exhaust) out of the room, the issue is these (3) 600's have been running on 24/7 for a minute. I stripped down and cleaned up the rest of the girls in the 4x8 and set the timer, they're in their first dark period right now as we speak. I wanted to wait a bit more for the smaller plants to get bigger but I cannot keep holding up this run, and I think with the big tent on it's 12/12 schedule now and the 3x3 on 19/5 the temps should normalize to within an acceptable range we will see. The reason I wanted to test this out first is winter will be coming soon and when the room was all LED I was concerned there would not be enough heat for winter. So we will see what happens. I watered everyone with plain water this evening as well even the last two auto's in coco which are getting close but going to let them go longer trichs are still clear. I spent 8 hours in the grow room working to get things set. Haven't slept and I'm worn the fuck out LOL. Been a busy couple of days doing what needs to be done.

WARNING: I defoliated HEAVILY, if seeing this is something that bothers you come back in a few days, this update is NOT for you.

Here's the HID 3x3 with the stripped down Satori male in the center and the (4) HBS Auto's in the corners, I pulled a few leaves on the HBS but not many, this strain has just grown very open so far, all I did was top each one once:

And a shot of the COB tent, the flowering auto's are close but not yet, they look like shit because the burnt fan leaves from when they dried out too much, since they're almost done I have not bothered yet to pluck any of those. In the next few days they will be coming down. Hard to capture in the pics but the buds were not burnt and look good and smell DANK. Can't wait to smoke this stuff. Also the cuts are ticking along not dead yet LOL so we will see how it goes, fingers crossed:

It's a weed! Hard to kill and it comes back stronger. Looks amazing. I do this to my garden every year and at first my wife thought I was some kind of plant murderer. Now she is accustomed to it.

My favorite cross REBAR is named that because it had a slug constantly eating away the growth tips. When I finally found and removed the slug, the plant had stems like rebar. It is a cross between Blue Dream and a possibility of three fathers. It popped up in my bad seed disposal container. I had to adjust my concept of what a bad seed was.

Lol. When the plants come me back stronger (again) all the doubters will be curious. Not the first time I've done this and won't be the last. I cleaned up a bunch of areas that would have ended up being trouble with mold etc and would have never known unless I stripped them down. :)

Yeah I only strip them completely maybe once in veg and right when I flip the lights. The rest of the grow only an unhealthy leaf will come off or any fan leaf covering a bud site. I stop yanking leaves in week 2-3 of flowering depending on the strain unless I have an issue that requires pulling leaves.

Rebar I love that name man lol. Good shit.

Small update for today. I am trying to get.pics everyday for a few days now so you guys see the girls I stripped down bounce back on a day by day basis. I top dressed the HID 3x3 and the Satori seedling in the COB tent with Happy Frog Fruit and Flower tonight at half the recommended amount. I also watered both 3x3 tents except for the two autos finishing up in the COB tent. They did not need water and I might not water again they're very close to being done we will see. The new timer I bought is a dud so will need to go swap it out tomorrow. Then I can put the HID 3x3 on 19/5 and in the next couple of weeks whenever I get around to it I will get a power strip with integrated timer to put the COB tent on a 19/5 schedule as well.

When funds allow I will be taking down the HID in the 3x3 as its my spare for if one of the two in the 4x8 shit the bed and it will cut down power use overall. Going to go with four more of the 3500K Citizen 1812's like in the other 3x3 currently.

The clones I took haven't died yet so that's a good thing. Only one looks real shitty the rest look like they will all be rooting based on my experience doing it this way so far. It's something I have been doing on the side now from the logs for a bit and with a cut here and there. Fingers crossed.

Anyways here's the 4x8 tonight

Here's a shot of my Doggie Dreams #1 Fem in the back right corner of the 4x8, I am simply loving the way this plant is growing out. You can see where she will be stacking buds and it just looks like big ass colas to come from top to bottom. And the smell off of this plant is just amazing. I am very excited to smoke some bud soon of a strain I made. It's such a neat thought.

Finally got it up n running last night.
Good news after spending hrs to get my 3 stand up AC's right, now I got a new mini-split guy who's coming in the morning. :grin:
Looks like I'll be adding a few more lights to accommodate the Soggish plants & 2 other big girls that won't fit in this configuration of 9.5'x4.5' x2 sides.
Looks like I'll only be able to fit 3 on each side the way it is now. So, more work to do.
Wow! You stripped em good. I'm gonna lay off on the de-fo myself. Just what's necessary for air flow.
