Almost 8 week Flowering Jack Herrer Is this ready for harvest?

Here are some pictures. Looks like some of the phenotypes look ready for harvest but I need better trained eyes for this. The largest plants still seem like they need another week or so. This is my first grow so you guys tell me what you think...

I've tried to look at the trichomes but they are so small its hard to see them and my camera can zoom in enough. I even went as far to get a microscope hand held but it was terrible. The plants do look frosty white though..

this is mostly a sativa strain and usually takes 10-12+ weeks to finish. it would be worth your time to get a loupe that allows you to monitor the trichromes. If it's the real Jack Herrer, when harvested early, it's so-so, when harvested at 50% amber, it's the best! patience is key

I judge strictly by trichrome color, not bud color. You have lots of green leaves still to provide necessary food to the plant, let if go til those trichromes go amber 50%, imho. I grow a strain called light of jah, which is Jack X Afghani...it goes a full 12 weeks.

I dont want amber trichomes. I dont want a high CBD. I am looking for the really strong head high.

You still want to see the trichs..... If you are anti-amber thats fine, but you want most of em to be cloudy at least.... No way of telling without being able to see those trichs up close, I like my 100x microscope, I take a a few snips of her and inspect em.

I try to look closest to the bud or even a little pinch of the bud itself. As those sugar leaves can be ambering and the bud still clear to cloudy.

But without seeing the trichs your guessing..... I have a Bubba Kush that just became smokable, I get totally different plant, and I wanted some amber on her, but story is still pertinent. She looked ready to chop. Brown hair, leaves where looking haggard, frosty as hell and about the right amount of days on the calendar per a seed company (I don't really use that) but what I'm saying is every indication was she was ready to chop. My mentor stopped by and said, 'when are you going to take that poor girl she's ready man" I handed him the microscope and nippers I said take a couple sample and see if you still agree. After a focusing, refocusing and cocking his head he said, "Well I'll be damned" those things where clear as a bell, not barely a cloudy one amongst them. I let her go 3 more weeks after that night. Some of the best smoke I have ever produced.

Now if that was you in your situation maybe you would have been looking at a week and a half for cloudy not real amber. But point is in this rambling medicated story. You don't know till you know..... Gotta see those trichomes.....

So your saying another two weeks before harvest right? I just dont want to wait too long because I hate weed with that couch lock effect....
Honestly i think you should read up on the JH phenos, that whole trich color flowering time thing is based on the phenotype before anything.

Jack herror is probably gonna lock you up a bit anyway lol, but its from seed so watch them individually.

Nice phenos you got! But a good thing to have when growing from seed is a good loupe

Im 7 wks in with Jack
They say 8-10 weeks and I don't see it happening
She looks like it's going to be another month is my guess
JH has been a little confusing for me but patience is the key
I hoping for a nice crop

Ok il break it down best i can with the difference in flowering times with this strain vs breeders most folk offer the 8 to 10 week version the older release ie the original from sensi had plants more hazey dom so like 12 weeks and above sannies jacks more like that sensi sells a faster version these days vs there original least this is how i understand it i used to smoke a fuck ton of this from various sources my fave was from the original tho
