everyone is telling me don't get a gun. I don't know if I can use the same defense as you.
Then maybe a German Shepherd or two?

* I was talking about a legal gun by the way, or sleep in there, you and your partners take shifts you got to do something cuz you're right, they are likely coming back, you would have lost it all already if you didn't happen to be wandering out there for the timer

I think i saw a manual on this somewhere, let me see if i can fish it out...oh yes, the 10 crack commandments, here are a couple notable ones for you:
Number 3, never trust no-bo-dy
Your moms'll set that ass up, properly gassed up
Hoodied and masked up, shit, for that fast buck
She be laying in the bushes to light that ass up
Number 9 shoulda been Number 1 to me,
If you ain't gettin' bagged stay the fuck from police
If niggas think you snitchin' they ain't trying to listen
They be sittin' in your kitchen, waiting to start hittin'

On a more serious note, california has stand your ground laws, and California law clearly stipulates...

Penal Code 459 burglary is defined as entering a structure with the intent of stealing or committing another felony once inside. 51 If, while someone is burglarizing your home or business, you attempt to defend yourself…and use reasonable force to do so…you will be entitled to an acquittal of any criminal charges (under California self-defense law).

Depending on the circumstances of the break-in, burglary may be considered a forcible and atrocious crime, entitling you to a presumption that you acted reasonably when you were confronted by a burglar.
California self-defense law creates a presumption that you reasonably feared death or great bodily harm if someone broke into your house “unlawfully and forcibly” — provided that person was not a member of your household or family.

In other words, if you are the victim of Penal Code 459 PC burglary, and you use force against the burglar, a prosecutor would bear the burden of trying to prove that you should be convicted of a crime for your use of force – rather than being excused based on self-defense.
In short, hide all other plants but the amount you can grow legally, and make swiss cheese of the next one that attempts to steal your shit! Gotta make an example, or word goes around and you spend your life looking behind your shoulders all the time!

Lighten up on the whole vigilante crap

The taliban is enough to deter even the most determined thief. I have no problem defending myself on my own property. I have motion lights, driveway alarms, tripwire alarms, and a couple of spike strips around my home and I don't even grow here. The farm is on another level....

I don't think it's anyone I know. none of my contacts grow or even know what a trimming glove is. my partner is connected with growers around this area. so I won't be taking any action with people I know.

Let me save you some grief before some meter reader or even a ripper sues your ass off

A booby trap may be defined as any concealed or camouflaged device designed to cause bodily injury when triggered by any action of a person making contact with the device. This term includes guns, ammunition, or explosive devices attached to trip wires or other triggering mechanisms, sharpened stakes, nails, spikes, electrical devices, lines or wires with hooks attached, and devices for the production of toxic fumes or gases.

If a person sets up such a trap to protect his/her property, he/she will be liable for any injury or death even to an unwanted intruder such as a burglar. It is illegal to set a booby trap on one's own property to prevent intruders.

The Geneva Convention, which applies to law governing wars, deals with booby traps as follows:

Without prejudice to the rules of international law applicable in armed conflict relating to treachery and perfidy, it is prohibited in all circumstances to use:

a. any booby-trap in the form of an apparently harmless portable object which is specifically designed and constructed to contain explosive material and to detonate when it is disturbed or approached, or

b. booby-traps which are in any way attached to or associated with:

1. internationally recognized protective emblems, signs or signals;

2. sick, wounded or dead persons;

3. burial or cremation sites or graves;

4. medical facilities, medical equipment, medical supplies or medical transportation;

5. children's toys or other portable objects or products specially designed for the feeding, health, hygiene, clothing or education of children;

6. food or drink;

7. kitchen utensils or appliances except in military establishments, military locations or military supply depots;

8. objects clearly of a religious nature;

9. historic monuments, works of art or places or worship which constitute the cultural or spiritual heritage of peoples;

10. animals or their carcasses.

It is prohibited in all circumstances to use any booby-trap which is designed to cause superfluous injury or necessary suffering."

You may want to google the legal term lying in wait as well

I hear prison sucks !
