what up riu

setting up a new flowering room with 2x 600watt hps. question is on the venting. i dont want to have to cut a hole in my floor to pull air from the basement through my lights, and out into the attic. so would it be possible to push air from the attic through the lights, and back out to the attic? or could i just pull the heat off the lights and dump it in the attic? i have two 6" max fans one will be used to vent the lights, and the other will be pulling air out of the room.
what do you guys think is the best way to do this.

thanks as always guys

Well considering that during the summer the attic is going to be hot as hell...i'd say pulling air from there would be pointless. Plus if you are venting hot air into the attic....yeah im sure you get my point now.

in michigan you can vent from one side of the atiic and exhaust in the other with great results acceopt for the summer and late spring .

If your in a cold environment, you may as well put all that heat to good use. In which case you could pull outside air in through the attic and duct it through the lights and down into your living space. 2x600's will heat things up nicely and will help offset the costs of running your furnace.
Depending on the political climate of wherever your living, you may not want to exhaust too much hot air outside as this can easily be seen by FLIR cameras and may attract attention. Plus you've got to treat the air before it goes outside.

you can just pull heat from the fans and into your attic, but if you're pulling air out of the room, new air needs to be coming in from somewhere.
If you dont have a good inflow then you'll have pressure problems, and your fans will have to work harder, making them louder and burn out faster.
the inlet & outlet idea should work for you as long as it's cold.
good thing for you it's almost october.

Could have some problems in summer, though

im also worried about condensation building up in the hoods. cool air meeting hot air its bound to happen. i think im just gonna try and pull the heat off the lights and spit it in the attic. as far as intake goes i have a vent in the floor that will pull cool air in the room from the basement.
