Alphakronik's White Diamonds

my understanding of "the white" is its pretty potent and absolutely covered in trichs, the pics i have seen are some of the frostiest buds possible. it is however widely regarded as flavourless smoko. its used in a lot of crosses to bring out resin and potency though.

Space Queen is a romulan/C99 hybrid. Flavour and potency are can't misses, both parents are known for their high potency and great highs. Lemon, pine, and pineapple all swirl in a pungent bouquet to tantalize your taste buds!! Roughly 50% have the romulan pine flavour dominating. Flowering time will be comparable to romberry averaging 8 weeks depending on grower and grow environment. Yield can be above average, but she won't be a top production plant. Her growing form will range from a 50/50 sat/indi hybrid to a full blown sativa. Some of the hidden sativa that has come forth in some seedlings have been truly the most pleasant smoke I've experienced. I hope she puts smiles on a few faces

sounds like this cross has good potential

Thanks for the info 2easy. I'm not familiar with Romulan. I've heard of it, but I haven't ever tried it. I personally do not like the name Romulan, so I never really checked it out. I find it funny that I haven't given a strain a look just because I didn't like the name but it is the truth of the matter. Lol! However I am familiar with C99. I bought some Female Seeds C99, but I haven't popped any yet. My buddy swears that C99 was some of the best smoke he has ever had, but who knows what version of it he actually had. That's the problem here in Kentucky which is not a MMJ state. It is hard to know exeactly what you are smoking unless you are growing it yourself. These Wd's are looking great imo, and they are really starting to throw off a skunky smell when I walk into the grow room. I personally love skunky strains, so I am happy with this characteristic. The plants both look fairly similar in structure. They are some of the largest plants I have grown, but somehow different. I can't quite explain it but it is a good thing. I was actually looking for a strain that had that piney quality that I had years ago. I was told that was a Northern Lights quality, and I had a Samsara Crazy Miss Hyde that is supposed to have that same piney characteristic. So I just popped it not to long ago. I had no idea what flavor to expect with these White Diamonds, but at least I have some insight in what to expect now. Thanks buddy!

no problem mate. I'm interested in all the background stuff myself. i don't now why but it just intrigues me so i don't mind running some background info.

you do owe me a bud now though lol

I owe you a bud now do I? Lol! I gotcha buddy!

I was checking my ladies out, and they are still growing fast. WD#1 is about 40" tall now, and WD#2 is about 29" tall. The height is about the only difference in pheno's that I can see so far except that WD#1 has a little more of a skunkier smell to it compared to WD#2. I figure I have at least another week of stretch left and 2 weeks at the most left. I'm hoping more around 1 week left because they are a descent height right now. I didn't expect them to get as big as they have, but I still have some room left. Just not a whole lot. These 2 plants have been growing at least an inch a day and sometimes 2 inches a day. That is pretty fast I think! The plants are completely green from top to bottom. Absolutely no deficiencies to speak of as of yet. I hope this grow continues on the same track that it has been on, because they have been the easiest plants I have grown so far. I just wanted to give a quick update, and I will post some pics later on this week.

Like the title says this is day 17 of 12/12 for my White Diamond's. They are starting to form popcorn size buds just about everywhere. I'm hoping the stretch stops soon because they are starting to get out of control. At least the one plant is. It is about 12" taller than the shorter one. I've been feeding them every 3 days with Botanicare Power Flower. I think that's what it is called. I put 1 tsp. in a gallon of water. No nute burn or any deficiencies that I can see as of yet. I started tying the taller of the 2 plants down some because it has stretched so much. Well here are some pics that I just took. I hope you all enjoy. Any comments are welcome!

It is time for this weeks update finally! The White Diamonds are still steaming along without any issues whatsoever. This has been my easiest grow so far in my opinion. There hasn't been any deficiencies or any other problems that I have noticed as of yet. The White Diamonds are looking pretty good now. It looks like the stretch has come to a finish now. It looks as if the plants are putting all of their energy into the flowering process. There are some trichs around the tops of the colas that are now forming. That is always a good sign when the plant is already showing trichs this early in flowering. There isn't a whole lot of smell going on right now but maybe that will change over the next 40-50 days. I hope so anyways. The stinkier the weed the better it usually is in my opinion.

The bigger of the two White Diamonds had to be supercropped because it had stretched so much, so I bent 3 of the tallest branches to help with the height of that particular plant. So far it has worked very well. It is actually pretty cool looking cause the buds have started growing towards the light while they are actually on their sides. It is hard for me to explain, but I imagine that you all can figure out what I mean. The branches that were supercropped still look as healthy as they did before I did that to them. No dead or yellowing leaves, so I would say that the supercrop was a huge success. Anyways here are some pics that I just took this morning. I hope you all enjoy and all comments are welcome!

looking good looks like your going to get some nice size buds for sure

Thanks Easy, I'm more worried about quality than quantity, but it does look like I'm going to get a descent amount of buds off this harvest. I need to take some pics when the HPS light isn't on. It just makes it hard to see what is really going on when I take a pic with that orange tinge to it. Plus it makes the pic a little blurry. As far as the smell goes I am confused. I thought I smelled skunk but other days there is no smell at all. Then today there is a slight smell in my grow room, but I can't say what it really smells like. It is nice to see some trichs starting to form around the buds though. That is definitely a positive sign.

yeah hps lighting sucks the big one for getting photos etc. i hate it. i got some super frosty buddha tahoe og going at the moment took some photos to try and show it off and they just looked meh at best lol.

don't stress too much about smell. i have grown buds that didn't stink at all through the grow but were the smelliest buds i have ever had once dried and cured. carrying a quarter around in your pocket got you plenty of looks at a party lol although I'm sure she will start to stink up a little once she matures. also some people think that a happy plant doesn't smell and that smell is only brought on from plant stresses like heat stress etc. i guess if thats true i have only ever grown one happy plant lol

Everything has been going really smooth during this grow. I have had zero problems except the one plant stretched alot. I would say that isn't a problem that is all that big of a deal to have. I think the smaller pheno seems to look a bit better overall. I would say it looks more uniform. There is quite a bit of resin production going on the buds and the surrounding sugar leaves. The bud formations are starting to come together and form the colas now. The smell is just baffling me because I cannot figure out what the smell reminds me of. I am going to have to get someone else's opinion on that. Whatever it smells like, I really like it. The smell is nonexistant unless you actually rub the buds though, so this strain is ideal if you worry about the odor in your grow. There for a while I was kind of worried that this grow was going to be a bust, but I am really starting to think that this could be the diamond in the rough strain. It seems to be a fairly slow flowerier. As far as nutes go, I have been feeding with 1 teaspoon of Botanicare's Power Flower 2-2-5 and 1/2 teaspoon of some Cal/Mag with every other feeding. There are a few leaves that are starting to yellow a little bit, but I think that is to be expected. I will post some pics tomorrow.

Thanks man! They are definitely coming along now. The bigger one has these airy buds compared to the smaller one though. The pistils are starting to change to light brownish color. I had someone over to my crib yesterday, and when they come inside they said they smelled some dro. I couldn't smell anything. I think I am becoming immune to the smell or something! I hadn't smoked anything, so he had to be smelling my plants.

oh yeah you definitely get used to it. i have huge carbon filters and the whole deal but whenever a smoker comes over they know. they always ask. i always deny.
regular people never seem to say anything but I'm not sure if they just think my house stinks and don't want to say anything or they just don't have the nose for it. but i will tell you this i never notice it even after i come home from work or something. its just normal to me.

the worst thing is trimming. one day i was trimming some fresh bud early in the morning. later that day i had a shower and headed out to do some banking etc. i was trying to get a home loan. so after being all dressed up and visiting numerous different banks and financiers i decided i would stop in at the hydro store to grab a few things on my way home. well the first thing the guy said when i came in " have you been trimming today or do you have a pound in your pocket i could smell the weed on you as soon as you came in the door" lol i must have been stinking up every bank i went into and i never even noticed lol. way to make a good impression

Man these ladies are really starting to trich up nicely. Everyday when I get up and look at them, I can see a difference in how much frost is on them. The smell is starting to develop quite nicely as well. I have no idea what the smell is though. In the breeders description it says something about vanilla, so maybe that's what I am smelling. Whatever it is, I like it! It is a soft smell if that makes any kind of sense. It is definitely unique to me. I have never smelled anything like it before. Hopefully it smokes as good as it looks. My last grow I did Serious Seeds Ak-47 and it looked great, but it just didn't smoke all that great. I mean it was definitely good smoke with great bag appeal. The smell was fruity as well as the taste. It just wasn't anywhere close to being a 1 hit wonder like Serious Seeds claims. It looked like some 1 hit wonder shit though. If 1 hit wonder quality weed goes for $60 an 1/8th, then this Ak-47 was worth $40-$50 an 1/8th. Anyways, I hope this strain doesn't turn out like that. It looks like it is going to be some top shelf quality shit! I'm over the half way mark now, so it's all downhill from here.
