I'm doing really good this year and still have 3 weeks or so to finish swelling. I used 2 5gal buckets for 2 and the other 4 are right in the ground. I'm happy with the out come but I'm stepping up to 2 20gal kiddie pools and the other 4 I'm putting in 15gal grow bags. I'm a fan of pro-texk and kelp4less . I've been reading a lot so I think there's going to be some changing with them also or others added. Just going to step up a little . Can't wait for the out comes this year also.

yup, always thinking about the next season long before this ones up. seems like most folks, including myself, talk about using more soil, bigger containers, etc. one day I'll be satisfied.

I wish I had the space for huge smartpots but in my situation I've found out this year that 10gal SP's are great. This being my first year growing outdoors I've been experimenting with different pots and in-ground. Smartpots far out do all other pots I've tried. In ground is great and the plants can get huge. But all around for ease of use and watering I'm going with mostly smartpots next year. Ill definitely grow a few "trees" in ground also. I've got a long list of things that ill change next grow. This year has been a hell of an education period for me. I'm feeling lucky that all my plants should make it to harvest this year. Considering all the hard work and time that I've put into them it's probably not so much luck that I've gotten to this point. I had no idea that growing would be so much work. I've learned many ways to make my work load lighter next year thanks a lot to this forum. Good luck and happy harvesting to all.

My plans for next year include starting later, putting more plants in the ground and amending my crappy soil over fall/winter with a lot of organic matter so that it can support hungry plants come late spring.

Hope it all goes well for you blaze.

I think i went big enough on pots this year. But next year i'm gonna buy seeds that grow better in my climate, put out about ten more plants, and build some kinda structure to protect them from rain.

I've been making a list for next year. Big wire support cages, a Hudson fogger for bug spray, more smart pots, maybe a carport greenhouse or two. I also want to get my hands on some nice high yield strains. I love my OG kush but I keep thinking a Sour D would produce a lot more in the same space.

Oh and I learned that I should save up a few bucks and buy the big huge bucket of fertilizer early on rather than buying 6lbs every few weeks.

Those all sound good. Keep watching your local craigslist, cheap/free carport frames pot up regularly....good luck, those ideas will all pay off....

Thanks JJ will do. Once I get my harvest taken care of I'll be carport frame hunting. I need to give the wife her backyard back before I fill up the garage with carport parts, lol. I hope to have them up for a small spring crop. I think I can fit 1 in the upper part of my yard and 1/2-3/4 of one on the patio.

I have 6 sour d's this year and their doing really good it's going to be my best outcome yet. I wish I would of done things a little different starting with bigger pots I used 5 gal and ended up having to put big holes in the sides and built dirt up around it witch helped out a lot but next year they'll have plenty room. I like the fogger idea also I had to use spray luckily not much but I'm looking into that for next year also.. You deff sound like your going after a nice grow next year.
