Always struggle in seedling stage

Taking a second look at my photos I'm embarrassed at how my grow space looks compared to most of what I've seen here. Oh well, I can improve. Temporary space as it's going to get too hot

So I've come to an understanding or determination, anybody that happens upon this thread and has experience with this observation of mine, please feel free to jump in a nd give your 2 cents.
I think this Promix brand soil just hangs onto water too long and in too large of quantities. This is what it looks like:

If anybody is still paying attention to this thread, I got a 48x48x80 in grow tent to move plants out of that attic space and hopefully environment will be more manageable. Photos to follow soon

Until recently, yes. It comes in the mid 6's though so I've stopped putting it in. Strictly water at this point. Think that's a contributing factor rn. The dirt has all it needs until it needs a transplant. When it gets too big for last bucket, then maybe I will begin ....

Right. Yeah I’m having a similar issue with my seedling. very droopy. temps and RH are good and I’ve been very careful not to overwater. My RO comes in at like 8.5 though so I was wondering if I should drop that before watering. Have your plants recovered?

Mine have. I haven't been adjusting it but it hasn't needed it either. Comes in 6's. 6 .5 approx. But this soil .....haven't watered in weeks for some. Wait until light, and go another week

Remember that seedling stage is the most important one! That PH needs to come down. Make sure that your medium is not too tight so that the water doesn’t stick around your roots.
Take this with a grain of salt since I am very new at this but I did do a SHIT ton of research before starting my ladies up!

these are 16 days in and I, myself had a big lockout but regulated the EC through a PHed RO flush and they bounced right back.

have a good day!

Good point! For some reason for past grows I have only been PHing water after they graduate from solo cups. How do you flush a seedling without overwatering?

Depends on your medium, if you’re working with coco, you can flush since it’s pretty much overwater proof or else I would just sit it out till it dries up and water with PHed water after. When I started I didn’t even PH my water and the seedlings were fine. Again I work with coco so make sure you get tips from people growing in the same medium as you since the last thing I want is to misguide you.

Oh and did you make holes under your cup? Treat your solo cup as a normal pot and make sure there’s a way for extra water to run off from the bottom

Yeah I’m in soil which definitely holds on to water which seemed to be OP’s problem. And yeah I have holes in bottom of cup even a few small holes on the sides to help

Then I would wait for the soil to dry and put MINIMAL amounts of PHed water around your stalk and not directly on it so you don’t drown the roots.

That should hopefully take care of your PH problem

Good luck with the babies!!
