i live in a hot part of Australia and have been told its to late to put my seeds in ! is this correct ?

Might actually wanna wait a little bit longer...depends on how many hours of sunlight a day you're getting...sometimes if you put plants out too early in spring they start to flower right away and never really grow...but wait like a month and they veg all summer and grow into monsters!
