Am I missing something? New tent @ 70*

Hello folks. I just set up my new 39x39x72 grow tent and my temp with lights on is 69-70 degrees after 3 hours warm up. The light is a 400 HPS cool tube connected to 6" active air 400 CFM inline with speed controller(set all the way down)which is set up passively and exiting outside via 4" run. One 6" clip on fan circulating inside tent. Grow area temp 57-65 and 68-71 with wood stove going. Stove not going now. I guess with all the reading I do I was expecting to be battleing high temps as millions of others have and am looking for reassurance that this is legit or is my new ipower kit letting me down already. Sorry for the rant folks,just want to dial this new system in. Looking forward to seeing what HID can do. Thanks for any info or advice and your time.

you can adjust your temps with your speed controller on the exhaust fan..you want it cooler turn it up higher and if you want it warmer turn it down to slower speeds.. if you need more heat i usually vent warm air from my veg room because the lights are on 18-20 hrs a day..

Must be cold there. You could always try turning the fan off for short periods of time to let heat build up.

my temps at the moment are 75-77 lights on, normally would be 85f

Alright. Love the new set up but am questioning weather or not something is wrong. Been running light 18 inches from plants and temps are 70 and 72 at canopy level with no fan inside tent running. 400 cfm on speed controller set to low. Grow area 60* right now. Is this temp correct or is my ballast or bulb malfunctioning? Anyone else have similar conditions? Thanks again folks.
