Yow, where did this come from? I do not want guvmint grown weed I want to grow it myself with as little involvement from them as possible. We did not have it good when we had to fear flashbang visits and jail time. With 64 we should be able to relax if we stay within the legal limits. So 64 looks like a good thing for typical citizen home growers. Commercial growers have a different view on this. Apparently.

if your growing your own how is the Gov gonna control THC levels? and if they do control retail sales that will still leave room for your black market grows with really potent stuff. Btw where are you getting that the gov is going to be growing the cannabis the law says ther will be retail shops and wholesale grows, the gov has said med shops will have first shot at licensing they have even gone as far as to ask liquor stores if they would want to sell recreational bud.(source is a liquor store owner, my friend who was approached on the subject). Plus if you have not noticed the government is broke and don't really have the capability to spend the millions it would cost to set up a system of control over government grows. None of this is official though so we may as well just chill and see what happens. Also growing should have never been a business except for a few thousand actual farmers if it werent for prohibition and harry Anslinger black market growing would have never been an option to make money.

As far as the 5 ng it will get destroyed in a court of law there is too much solid scientific evidence to show the inaccuracies in this being law. This has been getting tossed around for over a year if there is a bill we will protest, hold speeches and informative meetings educating the public, contact our senators and congressmen make sure they understand the truth and more than likely this will not happen. Science and inventors will find a reasonable solution and hopefully we can all live with it.

I don't think science has yet found a way to measure "active" thc in a person, at least not at reasonable expense and efficiency. I could be wrong about that but that's what I think. Therefore I don't think they will be able to come up with something to preemptively test a person and say "you shouldn't drive", for example. Instead, I think it could be more like it is for distracted driving in some states: when something happens like an accident or other offense like driving erratically etc., if the distraction (or cannabis use) is found to be contributive to the offense then the penalties increase substantially. That's one way they could do it.

The people who grow for the black market must love this. Maybe the UN guy is in cahoots with them and needs to keep weed illegal so they can continue to dominate the trade. If anyone who wanted to could grow it what sort of a world would it be? How about more peaceful and....Better.

So is it illegal to have a greenhouse in your back yard with a couple plants maybe 2 or 3 with the new amendment 64? I would keep the green house locked and its not in view of neighbors.

Sorry I don't have a link for this. Read a story in the national section of my daily here in Maine that Holder is set to make a decision soon. He has met with the attorneys general of WA and CO and heard from all sides of the issue. He expects to announce how the feds will react to legalization "soon".

I hope not, if so i am throwing a bunch of money away...
Actually this is really up in the air, so i will tell you where things stand atm. Amendment 64 is quite clear that you are allowed to have 3 flowering plants, and they must be in a locked space.
What is not clear is what is a locked space? Is a locked fence a locked space? Is a greenhouse with a lock, a locked space?
So at least for this season i am going to personally plan on it being "not illegal" and going ahead with my plans to build my long awaited greenhouse.

Is the front door of your house considered a locked space? Or does it have to be the room to your grow?

Sorry to post this without an explanation, in case you missed this in yesterday's news this person was arrested for distribution of pot after selling 3.5 oz on CL to a cop. This happened in Douglas County. The article mentions that this was not medical. His name and picture are online and in the paper, so if he is out of jail today it will be a bit awkward at work... There have been quite a lot of comments about legality and CL, well, this adds to that understanding. I hope that a pot lawyer will step up and help this guy out and then contact the media to show that he got off, but that is just wishful thinking at this point.

My thoughts on this are, if you have someone under 21 in your house ever, you should probably lock the room. But if you only have people over 21 over then locking the front and back door should be enough.

A key locking doorknob set is 10 bucks at Homie Depot, I installed the lock just in case it ever gets checked so I can show what a law abiding person I am. And when the relatives visited recently I had to cover the door with old furniture and artwork to cover the light that shows at the bottom and by one of the hinges. I don't think they ever went to that area, but better to be safe than have a security leak. Easily worth $10.

I saw somethin on the news a couple weeks ago saying they are cracking down on Craigslist. They are charging him with a class 3 felony that's crazy you will see more of those. There are so many ad on Craigslist with people trying to sell.

I feel bad for the guy but come on lol, he's not helping our cause to end prohibition of this plant. I bought pot illegally for over 20 years, only reason I got a card was to get at the cbds. No way would I ever have considered buying off CL. I bought from a responsible dude, got excellent buds too.

There is no reason to not put locks on the door(s) to your grow room(s).
I even lock the cabinet I keep my jars in. A $7 locking hasp from home depot works great.

Check the brand before buying the doorknob set and if you can get the same brand it will save a little work as the new hardware will easily match the internal mech. But the 10 buck set has everything you need and all it takes is a few minutes and a Phillips screwdriver. One less worry. Kind of like a child proof lid for your grow.
