Been in this spot for about 2 plus years. Nice home, mediocre neighborhood. Have'nt seen the landlord in about 8 months or more. Cool old man, I pay rent, he leaves me alone. Well I guess their office has taken on a new insurance provider and they want to inspect all the propertys by feb 27th...ugghhh. been here 2 years and NOW they want to do this? Least I got some time to figure something out. Plants went into flowering today. All I would need is less than an hour to be stored somewhere. thought about putting them in large boxes and in the back of my SUV (which is double blacked out). but thought at that time they would be in full flower and stinking. Thought about putting my 4x4 tent at the back of the garage and pilling bikes, shelfs, buckets, etc, etc around it, while running my carbon scrub on low inside the tent, light off, and making sure I tell them I am putting my dogs in the garage while they come in...Stressin over here...needed to vent. any ideas?

thought about that. but how do you do that without sounding suspicious?...this sucks because if I keep the plants in house and try to hide them....that means I risk everything if they are discovered. my heart sunk when I read it today. And I dont really have anyone who knows about my garden, so its not like I can ask a buddie...maybe rent a storage unit for a day? Would have to rent for a month...and then there is trasporting them....yuck

I would go with your "pile shit in front of it" plan, especially if you say you have the dogs in the garage. If anything they are going to be more interested in the house anyway and might peek in the garage to see what kind of heating system there is. Dont stress it too bad i am sure they dont want to be there any more then you want them there.

Consider that this option replaces "panic-worthy situation" with "huge inconvenience". A good trade imo. cn

i think the setting up the tent in the garage idea sounds great, and like you said, just tell em you've got the dogs in there and what not, shouldn't really need to inspect the garage i'd think, and even if they did, a simple looking through an open door would sound good enough to me..
i don't think that you have too much to worry about, just make sure you know what day they're coming and you should be golden..

furnace is in the laundry room, inside the house. My dogs are huge too, so maybe that will deter them...and honestly..Even if they did see the big black tent in the back of the room, its not like they have a right to unzip it (lol, like I would let that happen). I could just say its a portable storage closet.

you could just keep the plants in veg so that they don't smell. good enough time as any to learn how to top and FIM

Where, if any, is access to the attic? If in the garage they may ask you to move the dogs to access the attic.

Woah...good call...I forgot I had one.

You know what is even more frightning? Having to tell my gf their is going to be an inspection. She is already "not a fan"

Seems like u don't have too many plants too move so that's good. Any possible way you could put them in the attic?

Not sure if they check up there but its def a good hiding spot. Most attics have atleast a few feet of height.

Edit: saw someone already suggested this haha

you can't finish flowering them in time? that's about eleven weeks

edit - I noticed the inspection wasn't on feb 27th so it could be anytime before that.. can you schedule it for sometime close to then though and finish?

Why not just put them in the SUV inside something else so that you can be sure no one sees in? And who cares if it stinks? Don't drive it anywhere, obviously. Just park it somewhere discreet on your property.

Or go with the burying it approach with the "that's a storage closet" approach as a failsafe. I mean, shit. If you've got big dogs they are not going to want to go anywhere near them anyway. IS the attic access in the garage??

I'd go with the SUV if you can get away with it. Pull it into the garage, load it up, and move it out or even leave it in the garage/driveway! Its a house inspection, so they definitely wont be searching your car haha. But, if your heaters/breakers/attic arent in the garage, you could pile the shit on top of it and go with that. They had to "Check the heaters" in my apartment with 24 hours notice and I about shit, cause I had to work the next day. I put them in my tent, plowed it back into the corner of my closet against one door so it couldnt be opened, and then moved my bed against the other door so it was impossible to get into it without some serious thought and doing, it worked for me in a small room so im sure it would work for you.

yeah I am over thinking it. Still, just the word "inspection" makes me nervous. my girl is gonna flip, which in turns puts more stress on me. Ahhhh the growing season =)

Man I think you got your priorities wrong. Fuck the plants what matters is that you stay free!. I've had to start from scratch coz of pest, whole crops lost. This is way worst than pest IMO.

Insurance guys are no fools, they're trained as detectives so the company doesn't get screwed. You're not going to like what I'm about to say: If you do the stupid tent thing you'll end up in jail same day, also landlord will sue you... Busted for life. Solution. Kill everything related to cannabis in your house, dismount the grow rooms and systems, pack all the gear in discrete boxes and storage them in another place. After the inspection when you're clear, start over. If you have product already cured pack it and tell a friend you bought it from a dealer and you need him to storage it for a day coz you have an inspection due. offer some weed in exchange and he/she wont mind. I always keep a fund worth of 6 month harvest since my pest issue. This things can happen anytime, now you know.

well...i do understand...I would much rather shut her down then go to jail...but i am looking at in the perspective of , I have time to figure it out. I could still do the SUV thing...I mean I am going to know when they are going to be there. I could put em back and park it on the street if need be. Of course my freedom means more, but would'nt you think there would be an alternative to flushing the whole op since I have like 2 months until that time?

I agree with masp84.. you may not get busted, but is it worth it? I think if you told your girl you're shuttin it down until the inspection is over there won't be any reason for her to be mad or stress about you growing, because you would be doing it safely
