where do you live? attic grows are a constant battle with heat. Complete pain, I did it for 3 yrs and it was always a problem, and that was in santa cruz with average outside temps in the low 80's. If it's all you got, I understand, as I've been there, but since choosing a spot is so crucial, i'd recommend a lower spot in your house if at all possible.

watch out for nails! teatnus shots hurt,always wear helmet for saftey
I know on the nails. I've met a few unfriendly two by fours in the last couple months.
I did my best to try to move it to another area in the house but the wife said absolutely not so I took this is my last resort.
I've got it super insulated on the outside, half inch plywood and the inside I've got reflictix and I'm putting in a combination air conditioner heater and dehumidifier plus i have a five foot run venting from a room in our house which is kept at constant 73. I think my battle is for those last few degrees and the humidity here in a very humid state. I think... ? Thanks for the responses!!

I always smile when I see them walking right under the attic door. If they only knew (and they won't). There's a lot of pent up growing ambition fixing to burst forth...

I think LED side lighting on the angled walls would look really nice and neat. Would give you the maximum overhead space for your plant canopy.

It looks like that's the plan. Manufacturer suggested two LEDS above growing area and two smaller LEDS on each angled side wall helping with area that isn't hit with overheads. My plan on my first grow is to grow small and wide with maybe only two plants at first then assess from there. I do have the height in the center to play with non scrog also.
At one time I had thought about the sides being totally separate growing areas. Someday once I really understand my room and lighting.

I know me neither, been a real labor of love and am taking my time to try and do it as right as I can considering its in the attic. On the strain, I think maybe white widow but haven't completely decided yet. The criteria will be; easy to grow, not so stretchy with a quick growing time and a pleasant punch. Hardly anything more painful then buying overpriced pleasure that's poor quality in my parts when the fix is right above my head...
Patience is going to be a real challenge.

I've been thinking about that flower. My plan is a nice easy first grow with delicate scrog training and then go from there. I'm going to figure out how to make the side lights movable so I can position them for best canopy penetration with horizontal or vertical. I want something that practically tells me when to water her so I can get my confidence moving forward and then we play! Besides, I need some stash to help with this lifetime project.

Ahh, White Widow is a great strain for sure. Northern Lights may be up your ally too!
I did look at that strain also. I like some of the characteristics of Northern lights. Pretty much a flip of the coin for me. Just picking one this time so I have good comparisons rather then trying to figure out what each one should be doing.... ? I built a little cloning station in my room for the children and our future!

I am not sure what the best way to hang is. The A51s that I just got have a hanger kit, then you just need some eye hooks

Trying to keep it clean from cords, hanging vent hose and most of all the noise level. My exhaust will be just outside the room in a sound proof box sucking out of six inch vent on ceiling of room. We'll have to see how that works..
I think side hanging will be from two hooks on an end of the panel (I have looked at bicycle pulley systems) and the angle would be controlled by a guide wire attached to a hook set up down the side of the wall. That way it can travel up and down and you can set the angle with some cord. I think at least..
