Another ILGM Feminized Gone Hermie. Grrrrrr!

I bought 5 feminized Tropicana Cookies and 5 GSC Extreme seeds last year from ILGM. I had two in my 4x4 ready to finish this week. One must have dropped some male flowers that I missed…until it was too late. The entire tent was seeded. Even the two GSC Extreme, full of immature seeds. The whole crop ruined.

OK, OK, I thought too, maybe my tent had a leak, or I f—ked up. I’ve never had a hermie during an outdoor grow and been using ILGM for three seasons. Well, something funny happened that answered the mystery.

I went out yesterday to start amending my soil and preparing for my 2024 outdoor grow. What do you know, a baby TC in last year’s raised pot.

I never went through those buds because the crop was devistaded by bud rot due to tropical storm Hilary bringing 95F degrees and 90%RH late in flower. Apparently, one of those TCs hermie’d as well.

I doubt this plant will survive. It’s too early in the season, but I’m going to let her run anyway.

Same thing just happened to me again with White Widow seed from ILGM. I just noticed the baby seeds and some nanners today at the beginning of week 5 flowering. I've gotten seeds from them for a while. The last grow was ILGM Durban Poison and were perfect. The grow before was GG4 from them and it also went hermie. I will look into darkstargenetics.com. I have leftover ILGM seeds but I'm not sure I want to use any more of their seeds except the remaining ones from the good Durban Poison batch. Depressing when they go hermie, isn't it? Heartbreaking, really.

Anything cookies has this in its genes they herm and they are bad for producing loads of ovules like not formed tiny bits of seeds all through the bud also not very potent ime this is why the hybrids are better than straight cookies imo i know ilgm has a horrible rep and i never used em personally but i just putting this out there cos its a thing with cookies as its a bagseed mess of a strain in general just like with gg4 s1s no matter who you get them from they all carry the same risks cos once you s1 something whatever genes are recessive in the parents will show as dominant in the s1 progeny so if it has the recessive herm trait in the parent you will see it in some of the s1s anyway good luck with your next run bud i hope you have better luck op
