On another note, why is your pot only half full? Are you aware that plants need to dig a taproot? What is with this full blown obsession with people refusing to fill pots? It's out of control. Your literally just shading the plant as well.

My roots are coming out the bottom of a.300mm deep after 13-16 days, and a plant us only as healthy as its root system. If that happens with every grow for me, you might want to consider putting a normal amount of medium in your pot.

If I had a dollar every time someone asks "why is my plant so small" and I reply with "why is the pot so small" and their reply is always "I'll transplant it wh n it big enough".......well when will you put 2 and 2 together and realise that it's not getting bigger BECAUSE you aren't transplanting it?

I see this ALL THE TIME and I just pull them out - because I'm never quite sure exactly where the seed may have come from. I say that because I am regularly making seeds on purpose. In my case what I think happens is my plants produce seeds (again, on purpose) and oftentimes they mature enough before I can catch them and they fall in the soil. I think I've had cases where they germinated and started growing there, or, at a later time if I recycled that soil and used it again and then in germinates alongside a girl I've transplanted into bloom.

nothing short of god coming down from the heavens and planting a second seed will produce that to happen.
you have 2 very seperate seeds growing there. as old-fart-stoner said, check your seed count.
unless someone is having a laugh and deliberatly planted a second seed
 , thank you, should I let it stay there?

I've just noticed around 70% of posts I see have this insanely small amount of medium, I'm going to continue to bring it up until people fill their pots lol. It's like people overthink seedling requirements, but forget that a plant is only a seedling for a few days, and then handicap the first few weeks of veg in the same pot, wondering why their plant is a dwarf.

Why not? Lol
Because you are going to need more soil for the larger one...best to transplant. What will happen to the small one then? Gonna dig it out with the big girl? IMHO you should pull it now before the roots get entwined...not good for either girl.

if it was me and i just had to have the second plant, i would take the plant out and seperate the roots b 4 they get too tangled, but i habve quite a bit of first hand root seperation from growing bonsai.
i would then put more soil in to my pot and replant it. water works well for seperating root systems, but it would mean replanting it and having to wait for it's root system to catch up again.
just pull it and repot your plant with more soil in it, leaving it in shallow soil is not healthy or productive for your plant

You using gnarly barley from BAS? I've got a bag, and it contains sprouted hemp seeds along with corn and barley. I always have tiny hemp plants popping up after using it.

ok, still go for the largest pot you can, so the 7 ltr will be fine.
with bag seed, chances are its a photo, so the extra space to grow in will be good.
what are you growing in? a tent or part of a room, closet?????
