no rain in over two months, burn ban in effect for weeks, fall winds from 5-20mph (up to 30mph gusts). the mountains will still be there, but the bridges and stairs and rails at our local state park are burnt to ash. chimney rock nc is ablaze, so much for that landmark attraction...

My actual family was in a concentration camp. I literally have their numbers tatted on me, one on my wrist, three on my ribs. How strong are your actual convictions? Are they as strong as your integrity to honor a bet?

The cock rock will prevail. Seriously, hope ya'll are OK and will be OK. I have a special fondness for that whole area, I have a Federal Reserve Note on the wall at Larkins in Lake Lure and I always stay at a little hoatie spot in a hairpin just past the Bat Cave turn.

thanks buddy, fortunately it's currently on the other side of the broad, but hope it doesn't jump. old granite and fire and the penis pennant could go flacid... the rhododendron should recover well, it's pretty fire resistant.

on the other side of bostic, there's another fire, and one a little ways east from there. the state park is basically burned down, all the stairs and bridges, possibly the amphitheater.

btw the fires have been going for a while now as you know. i dont think they were recently set by democrats but rather natural occurrence.
