the head spins got me hooked on the tobacco aswell. But that was before the weed. If I really wanted one I'd just smoke a joint instead and after about a month I didn't care for ciggies at all. Still chuck a bit of tobacco in a mix though but beats a pack a day

OP, if you dont find a strain that works or if the different consumption methods dont work, you could always grow poppies. You wouldnt be getting away from opiates, but you'd be cutting out the apap shit. I've thought about it too but myself, I've decided against it. I take my pain meds as prescribed because if I dont then the other half of the month I'm detoxing and feel like shit. If I had that shit on tap, I know me and I'd get carried away. Also the legality is probably worse growing a poppy than an mj plant.
Your friend could be more responsible than me though and live in a place were growing a poppy isnt illegal so putting it out there.

I would suggest making a concentrate out of the marijuana(didn't read through any posts but the first page so forgive me if it was already mentioned) - Something like bubble hash, ISO, or edibles - I've heard some good things about people making "Potka" lately too(pot+vodka) put some buds in with your vodka for a week or so then strain it out and drink it

DING DING DING! We have a winner, high CBD strains are what you are looking for. The effects on pain are great. You may not notice it if you don't have heavy pain, but once you have pain and you smoke CBD, you'll understand why it is having such a strong effect on cannabis culture currently. (to an extent of course). DEFINATELY GET A HIGH CBD STRAIN TO AT LEAST TRY! Can't go wrong with testing a couple strains. Maybe it's exactly what you're looking for...

Now, back to the thread, I don't know, and highly doubt it, but I'd love to know if Cannabis and Opium Poppies have the same chromosomes. But it'll probably be the same argument that you can breed tomatoes and cannabis.

Try a plant called Papaver Somniferum. Dont look to cannabis for an opiate high. Thats like looking at mcdonalds for a filet mignon. Just ween offa the narcotics and use cannabis to ease the wd's and psychological urges. Lemme know how it works out. I cant quit either...

Yeah, Kratom. I've actually tried that stuff before. The UEI version of it. I had 1.5 grams of it and was a total newb to it and didn't feel a thing. I do hear tale that it helps with the opioId withdrawal however.

Yeah dude, i'd probably just stick with the heavy purps, amber trichs, and cook or bake that shit dude. That's probably as close to junk as you can get with weed...
