Anybody have a solar storm 800watt??

800 watts should run you around 40 50 extra bucks a month in cost. That thing cost to god dam much. go with hps. Not hatting but man way to much in cost.
 
I have the 400 watt Solar Storm, which you can get for a lot cheaper if you go through the Grower Feedback Program. I think they also may be offering a small discount on the 800 watt. I will be posting my initial thoughts of it soon.

i have been looking, off and on, on "inductive" lighting. super long life. half the elec usage. full spectrum. look up indagro. makes me wonder.

If she runs on 800 watts it's 800 watts. There's no difference.
 
the 800 watt SS draws about 620 watts in bloom (450 in veg). I have the 400 watt SS and it does get hot about 84 with fan on. Not nearly as hot as my 400 HPS, so savings are that's its much easier to keep cool in a tight space.
 
Jumpman301 tells the truth. The unit is 800w by the definition of 5w diodes and there are 160 of them. 5 X 160 = 800. Actual draw on these units is approximately 620-650 in flower depending on whether you have the UVB lights on as well.
