Anybody mess with cryptocurrencies?

I am very interested in cryptocurrencies and have build up a decent amount of various coins. Mainly the larger ones, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Polkadot, etc. No doge, fuck doge lol.

I wouldn't say I'm an expert but I have a moderate knowledge of coins and whats going on.

I first knew about bitcoin when it was $2 a coin but wasn't too interested at the time... :wall:
Although to be honest, I probably would have sold 20 times before it got to it's current value.

So obviously I didn't strike it rich, but I have made a good 40% or so on everything I've bought. Even with the market being as volatile as it is, and on the most insane bull run ever, and it has dropped 30% in a day before, I think my gains are safe for the most part.

Anybody else fuck with crypto? What do you think about the insane year it just had? Do you think is is a solid market exploding because everyone is getting in on the hype? Or do you think it's a bubble waiting to pop?

Also, what do you think about sites that offer free cyrpto (faucets)
Most of them pay garbage, to the point where it'd be more profitable to look for change on the street. However, I have been using freebitco.in (very popular faucet) for years, just as a free way to say I have bitcoin. Because I have been using it for so long, and the price of bitcoin has skyrocketed, I've actually earned a few hundred dollars worth of free bitcoins.
P.S. If you want to join freebitcoin send me a message so I can send you a referral link. Help a brother earn some more bits :p

I use attitude seed bank for my seeds.
Was going to pay with a card, but then I saw a crypto promotion.
Bought that amount of crypto instantly, paid a $20ish dollar fee to buy it. Ended up getting over $70 of free seeds :)

I also used bitcoin to purchase some seeds from attitude because of crypto promo. I had maybe $20 left and this year it went up so I was at $150 used it for more seeds :bigjoint: PayPal in us is also adopting crypto. so I think the more bigger companies come onboard it's going to go up. Although bitcoin currently is fluctuating a little.

Started mining a few months ago, 1 month first was testing, finding the right platform and market with resonable fees.
The numbers looked good, very good.
I stopped buying Led lights and started buying Gpu`s.
What a fantastic way to make $ the more hardware you get the more you make and the best thing of all is the customer base.
With over $3bil traded daily I can sell any amount of coin anytime in 1 second, just sell at market and deposit the $ straight into my bank account and I dont have to leave my sitting room, too easy.
If it crashes it dont matter, just keep mining and hodle, it always bounces back bigger than before, but right now its mining and reinvesting in more hardware.
And Gpu`s are very hard to buy right now, they are selling on ebay used for more than I paid for new.
I got a top local supplier picked up another 5 Gpu`s last week, people keep asking where I`m gtting them.
Not on your life.

I was mining BT and lite coin 10 years ago. Couldn't mine enough to cover operating costs. Prices were sub 1k$. I was mining on GTX 1080 ti's, cost 799$ ea then. Only card more expensive then was the dual cpu GTX Titan.

Good low cost card is GTX 980 ti SC+ is sub 400.
Or wait for chip supplies to replenish and go rtx 3080 for the win.

I remember when you could pickup free BT from faucet websites just for stopping by.

Don't forget to pay your partner the electric company their cut or no mining.

Ethereum Average Transaction Fee
68.86 USD/tx for May 11 2021
Miners validate all transactions on the blockchain so they share the fees.
Thats why its happy days for miners, here`s hoping they stay high, I think they are up 250% since 3 days.
