Anybody still use maxibloom these days?

So yesterday I was in a hurry and jumped one plants ec to 1.3. It's at .8 now. So they are drinking but notice what's happening to the leafs AGAIN.

MY temps are 61 a night. Is this causing plant leaf transpiration issues so the leaf curls?

That looks like heat stress.

Yeah people thought it was heat stress in the thread I mentioned earlier but it wasn't. I have a 12k mini split unit inside the tent so temps (hot at least) can't happen. Day time temps don't get past 74. Night time temps dip around 62. Humidity is 55 lights off and 45 lights on.

Here's a pic of when I flowered same plant in soil. Had some yellowing but no taco.

I'm raising the temp to a higher level hopefully will be around 80 during the day and 70 a night to see if temps play a factor. I wish I new more about leaf transpiration because something is happening inside the leaf making it want to curl like that

Hey guys.
I'm a farirly new grower, I have been using GH MAXI veg/bloom. the dry stuff.

I'm growing in soil. I also have noticed the somewhat difficulties with shaking and disolving the powder. But I have noticed if I prep a few hours to a day in advance, I only need give it a shake for a quick minute and leave it. I find it will fully disolve over time.
Anyways. As a beginer I don't have or use ppm/ec meter. All I have is simple liquid ph test.
I have noticed while searching, most people look for a diy ph down. And that most people when talking about adjusting ph refer to using ph down. Well. When I test my juice. I get crazy acidic results . Is this normal? Is it common for nutes to be either base or acidic and the only way to know which you got is a test?

Anyways. Thanks guys.

Maybe the strain is showing you it's full genetic expression.

I couldn't do indoor soil. Idk. Plants seem to do better the more grows I get under my belt.

First hydro grow and first time I haven't had any leaf problems. I had so many issues in soil.

Yeah I wouldn't be upset with it tacoing if it was genetics but last round I had one cheese plant along with these pine Apple expresses and it started tacoing too. And I've grown that strain for multiple runs. I'll keep taking pics and watching the taco happening cuz I have a feeling they all will. I added the dark energy and also some bloom to all four buckets ec are about 1.2-1.4

Mjay, do you have any ventilation in that tent? My first thought of your pics was that they are suffocating. Leaves will taco from too high EC too. I think you are too high. FWIW I always grow in the .6 - .8 range. I already mentioned that I have no experience with Maxibloom so all I can go by is my eyes. Since you are using individual buckets why not do a couple with a lower EC to see the difference? If it's too late for this crop then maybe next time.

Since you aren't killin' it with Maxibloom anyway, I would suggest some old school GH Lucas formula or Florabloom next time. We all know that works and you know you will end up with good smoke. Peace.

Yeah I switched middle of this post to FloraNova bloom. I'm trying to do lucas formula but cant get anywhere close to the recommended strength. Right now i'm around 3.5 mls per gallon

I mis-spoke above. High EC doesn't cause tacoing. I was having a brain fade when I typed that. Good luck with the Floranova Mjay. If I remember right I used a tablespoon to a 5 gal pail as a standard dose, right around 3ml/gal taking me to .7 EC or so. I still plan to try Maxibloom sometime because I have gotten a lot of recommendations on it.

Pics are of 4 different plants and four tacoing leaves after I raised the Ec to 1.3-1.4. One plant had its ec raised to 1.5 the next day most stayed the same. They drank a ton of water and ph rose on almost all of them. The last pic shows how purple the the veins on the leaves are. I've seen purple on stems but never really throughout the whole leaf vein

I did notice my co2 had run out for in thinking a couple days but I ope the tent once or twice a day so I'm assuming low co2 didn't cause this.

That's not classic tacoing from heat stress. It's more like a leaf rolling/shriveling. I think you are getting some lock out now with the purple veins and stems. It's pretty hard to turn them around when they start going the wrong way.

So, upward curling of the leaves is a sign of lock out? Which nute is locked? Is that a ph issue?

It's hard to do hydro without a tds meter but maybe your ph could give you some clues. Are you using tap water? What is the ph of your tap water? How are you mixing the Maxi? If the tap water PH is high I would add just enough nutes to bring the PH in range and try it that way.. If your PH is way low after adding nutes it may be too strong. When I mix GH or Floranova correctly in my tap water the PH usually ends up around 5.5. I would think they would have designed Maxibloom to do the same.

I figured Mjaylover had a lock out because he is already feeding a pretty strong dose of a complete nute so it shouldn't be a deficiency.

Let me know if I'm picking up what your laying down.

Next time I brew my nutes, add only enough mix to bring my ph to the desired level...like fuck recomended doses, add nutes until my ph drops to where I want it and use that? If so I think I like the sounds of that. I may just have to experiment with that a little. See what the ratio would be in the end...

That sucks. Sad thing is I only went full strength nute of maxi bloom. Plant started turning lime green so I back off. Never had ph problems and I just bought blue labs ph and ppm pens so I know its not my meter. So I don't know where lockout could come from

I flushed with clearex for 24 hrs dropped the nutes back down to .9

And just so were clear I upped the EC to 1.3-1.4 like everyone suggest and the taco happened like I knew it would. Sometimes when you're desperate looking for answers on the internet shit happens. Lets just hope I have a decent harvest. I can tell at week 4 the flower sites are as crystally as before so i'm not getting my hopes up.
