Anyone Ever Use a Ph Meter from Home Depot?

Bought one today its a 3 in 1 ph,water and light 8 bucks any good anyone????

i have read that it sucks....

Should have asked BEFORE you wasted $8.

what would be a good one? for soil

for now i say return it and get the ph testers that are done with the green tablets. there located right next to where you got the ph meter im sure...

its called a soil test kit you can use it ten times... its 16-17 bucks ( it also comes with ten of each to check n-p-k levels)

im in the same boat and saving up for a proper ph reader. but at least this should last one grow

I use the ph water test kit and test the run off from the soil. Not sure how accurate it is, but it hasn't lead me astray yet.

have same meter mine works great its all hoe u use it make sure it is at root level i grow in 5 gal ..make sue its almost all way down into soil so that the prongs go all way down to bottom u will get a correct reading ..have a millwalkie meter cost 80 bucks is awsome but i get same readings cheap 1 off by like maybe a point or 2
