Anyone experienced with bubbleponics (hydroponics)? I could use you.

I'm starting a bubbleponics system. I'm looking for feedback from someone who has already done this and succeeded. Here's what I've done. I put hydroton that was cleaned with pH'd water in a nety pot. I put rockwool that was soaked in pH'd water (for about an hour) inside the netty pot, then surrounded the rockwool with more hydrotin. I put the seed inside the rockwool. The netty pot is submerged about an inch into nutrient water that has been pH'd (which is about a quarter of the way in). In the nutrient water is an airstone and there are bubbles coming up and hitting the netty pot. The nutrients I used are General Hydroponics Flora Series. The directions called for 1 tsp/gal water. I used half that. I'm not sure when to start adding more nutrients. so that's a question I have. I've designed a grow box. The box has been lined with reflective tape that I found at Lowe's. The box is also ventilated and from the top of the box hangs a 300 W, 3900 lumen, 2700K CFL bulb. I'm not sure when to start giving the plant light. From what I've read, it seems that I need to start giving it light as soon as I see leaves. I've read other places that it needs 18 hours light/6 hours dark. I don't have a timer yet, so I have to do it manually......
After I made the system, I read somewhere that you're not supposed to give it nutrients yet. Too late. I've already done that. Will that be okay?
Please tell me if I'm wrong anywhere and what I can do to fix it. By the way, I'm using a pretty small system. It's an old container (black, so no light can get through) and it holds 1 gallon exactly. I'm only trying to grow one plant. The container has a lid, and this is obviously where I've cut out the hole for the netty pot. I'm using a 5 gal air pump lol. Those are all of the details of my system. I can post pictures if anyone needs a visual, but it's pretty basic.

I've actually done quite a bit of reading from that site and others. I know one mistake I've made, and that was adding the nutrients. I'm going to wait a week before I do that. What else have I done wrong? I read that it would be okay to use a 2700k bulb for the entire life of the plant. I would like clarificatiom on that.

You want the water just touching the bottom of the net man post pics of everything wait atleast 14 days befor using nutes man and use 1/4 strength and work your way up and get a timer dude there cheap as

I would further dilute your current nutrients down to about 20% to start, remove 1/2 the water and replace with just Ph water.
As you're dealing with water your Ph levels are different than substrate. See attached not a big concern right now as no roots.
Next time forget the reflective tape and just rattle can (paint flat white bath and kitchen) much higher reflectance than just about anything out there. I did tests on all kinds of stuff and posted it here going back a few years.
Have the water just touching the bottom of the net, the breaking bubbles should keep everything moist and keep the seed from drowning.
Once you see the first tip sticking out get the light as close as you can to prevent stretch, remember it's a baby heat will kill it quick so not too close.
You can go 18/6 till you see three sets of leaves than put it on 24 till flower, cannabis is in a category of plants that does not need darkness during veg only flower.

I remember when I first started growing so glad to help.

Peace

Wow, thank you so much! Those were the only few details that I couldn't find anywhere. I'll definitely do what you said. Thank you for your patience. This is my first experiment with growing and though I've read a ton of info, I'm still nervous. I'll post some pics when I get the chance. You guys will probably make fun sine it's such a small setup haha. I'm excited to see where this goes!
