:) whatr do you guys think i should offer for it? kbb says its a good price
ok so the guy actually wants 4k... that's why he put OBO and raised it to 4400... I used to sell RVs not cars but same idea... you gotta low ball the guy and work your way up... start off 20% lower than what he wants cause he's private if it were a car lot 50% on used or 30% on new... anyway start your bid off at 3500 try to get it for 3800 but 4k wouldn't be bad and you're probably still stealing it from him...
take a look at your surroundings... if you can meet him at his house you can see what his place looks like and if it's well maintaned you know he took care of his car... look for any stains on the seats or floor boards and look at the trunk. also if he smoked in the car don't budge on the 3800... CASH IS KING!!!!... stay high

I'd start at $3K for an offer.
It's a craigslist ad, most people are just wanting to get rid of the cars. A crrolla/camry/civic is a dime a dozen. If he refuses your final offer, just tell him you'll move on to the next 'yota.

I bought an Explorer off a neighbor for $500. Drove it 'til the front wheels were literally about to fall off. Bad brake leak, leaking sunroof, etc.
I put it on CL for $1000 just to see how it would go.
I had several calls the first day. Someone bought it the next day. AFTER telling the guy EVERY little thing wrong with the car, he asked if I would take $980. LOL. I was like "cash?" (acting like he was getting a great deal). He gave me the $980 then had to have it towed because the brakes and wheel bearings were so bad.

LOL, trust me, LOW BALL ftw.
I've bought/sold dozens of cars, as I used to do it as a side job.

Yeah, I'd start with "What will you pay me to take it off your property?"
i ask that for everything i find on craigslist.. they they say, well im ASKING.. then you know, start lowballin. but if they just say the price and nothing else, they aint tryin to make deals.
and just for effect cuz the other post you got in this thread...
