You should split the plant in half and stick half outside in the ground under full sun. It'll grow like crazy.

My old cat is buried in the cat nip patch. He loved the nip patch, I put it there for him. When he died, I took the nip out and put him in with the nip on top. Now he's always in the nip. I think he'd have wanted it that way.

Nah, I've grown nip in my yard for over 10 years and I don't get cats in the yard that don't belong.
Maybe the dogs have something to do with that.

FYI, an interesting note: before discovering actual tea, the British drank catmint/catnip infusion as their main hot sippable beverage. Mix it with chamomile and have a lovely, calming, tasty treat. Chamomile tastes like apples, and catnip tastes a bit minty/lemony. Mmmm...
