i work in a call center 24 hours a week and make enough to pay ALL the bills. :joint:
Dislike.

I have a good friend who is a marine sniper in Afghanistan right now. Say what you want about war but the individuals out there are people's friends, brothers & mothers etc.

From a former Marine thats been in Afghanistan...Youre a fucking tool and an idiot. Disagree with the politics behind wars and occupations all you want, but no standing military=complete takeover. Fight that logic you 'independently thinking' fucking moron

im 23, i bought in full and have owned my own home for 2 n a half years ive kept the same job in a kitchen for 5 n a half years. my parents help very very little n thats really only some groceries n toiletries here n there. i get no benefits at work, i just work hard and a lot and take as many shifts as i can get....plus a couple zips indoor every couple months helps slightly. ive been in n outta jail the last couple years and ive had my house raided on a large scale grow op, got away clean tho. no plants no nothin when they came thru. gotta love eyes in the street. i mean really im jus sayin that any1 can make it for themselves if they want to, it depends alot on ur determination and work ethic. do your best to excel in any job and youll move forward homie..sometimes you get stuck somewhere u dont wanna be but keep pushin youself to do well and something better will come along!!!

I grow weed and build engines soon to be just growing weed. I hope some day to become a professional breeder and start my own seed bank and chain of glass shops but that's later in life. My brother and I own two house not fully paid yet but we hold a told of 250k in paid equity. My parents put 10k as a down payment and my uncle launders money for me threw his consultation company. People my age always whine about no jobs and blah blah blah. Prohibition is the stupidest thing aa government can do but I'm taking as much advantage of it as they are. Teach your children how to be smart and opportunists.

Has this situation happened to you?

You're talking to your parents about life and they say, "when I was your age(20s) I had a full-time job, house, car, etc" But then you look at your life and see that you have none of that right now.

Now my excuse is blaming the economy and the fact that in most states the prices for housing is still insanely high. So am I alone in this situation? Does anyone here have a home, great full-time job with benefits good pay and a car to go with it? I only know people with so-so jobs that rent and usually take transit, some with cars, but still live at home.
Just because your parents did all those things does not mean you are supposed to...I am an unemployed college student with no prospects for a job for at least the next four years, and given the chance, I would stretch those four years as much as I could...We will have to work later, and for the rest of our adult lives (well, until retirement). Then we will think back at our unemployed youth, and wish for those times when our only real responsibility was to pass the exams. Having said that, I live in Europe, where the social and economic situation is quite different than in the states, and I am a pretty strange person when it comes to life philosophy...I believe that most people do what they do because they think that it's the ONLY possible way, and that they MUST fulfill society's expectations (which, of course, is crap), and I disagree with that. I think that everyone's lives are different, so their life choices should be tailor-made by them for their own situation. Lastly, I believe that the most important thing in life is to feel good and be happy. To quote Bob Marley, "Open your eyes, take a look within. Are you satisfied with the life you're living?" In my case, I have no job, no degree, no car, almost no family. But, I do have a house, a garden, a girlfriend and an awesome cat. These things make me satisfied with my life; happy, even. If I were in your shoes, I would drop a tab of LSD and meditate on your past, present and future. Psychedelics expands the mind and enhance the senses, allowing deeper connections, and the bypassing the built in filters to make wiser and less biased choices. It also exposes one to oneself, if that makes sense, allowing one to see oneself the way one is, not distorted by one's own character, preconceived notions, and other limitations of human consciousness.

oh yeah, btw, I used to have a job, and I was MISERABLE!!! It was literally the worst or second worst period of my life...That is when I made a list of things I want, things that will make me happy, and I spent the next two years getting those things. I can tell you that job and car were NOT on that list!

I am trying to become an organic gardner, because as far as I can tell its the most honest business in the world

more along the lines of veganic/organic/permaculture farmer.

not too long ago i worked a full time job and another job. i overworked myself and people kept robbing me and fighting me. I have been the victim of 3 home burglaries in 3 residences, they took the tv out of my bedroom. had so many things stolen over the years. fellow family member ruining my credit requiring me to fight with a lawyer. oh ya i think i was raised half black in a racist family who never met his real father. then i think i had a nervous breakdown at age 29.

So i guess my answer is no. o shit, im not in my 20s anymore.

Ive been denied employment by a few companies over my life. A hardware store, a doctors investment firm, a bank, the county auditor, a few restaurants. I want to become a politician but nobody will vote for me, and I dont want donations.
