Anyone make bubble anymore?

I just ordered a set of bags for 5 gal and am going to try my luck at making some hash. I have always been a big hash smoker but lately it is going more butane and the water hash that is available up here is very very bad. I mean its usually a straight burn and to find a melt is like finding the holy grail.

Another question is how much product to use per 5 gal bucket and how much ice. I know your supposed to fill it full but I don't wanna get too much ice and not have anywhere to put it lolollol.

Anyways if any of you masters of hashish want to help me out it would be much appreciated. I don't need all the secrets but it would be nice to share some actual decent hash for once.

4-6 oz of material.. ice/product/ice/product/ice/product/ice.. in layers. Do not fill more than 3/4 of the way up because once you add water it's going to swell and you'll be too packed.

I use a single 20lb bag of ice per run.. adding ice as I go along, maybe another few lbs.

Lots of diff. ways to do it. Dry material? Fresh Frozen?

My first run might be dry material as I have had it just sitting for about 6 months and want to get some use out of it before all the thc dies off.

My second run will be fresh frozen! :D I almost went for the 1 gallon bags but thought about how much of a pain in the ass it would be if I had to make multiple runs instead of just one. But on the opposite spectrum it would be easier to use less product.

The 1g bags stink. Smart on the 5g.

If it's dry material i'd say after you fill it with water, let it sit for 30 mins to an hour.. everyone has their own thing.. but that will help it come out cleaner. I go about 45 mins usually.

Would you use the subcool tactic and spoon it up? or should I get a different tool for mixing?

Also I really REALLY really appreciate you taking time to share your knowledge.

No problem, it's early still and i'm sick in bed lol.

For stirring, most use a big spoon yeah. I use an old graphite hockey stick that's been cut down lol. Anything really provided you don't cut the bags or have sharp edges that will chop up green matter and contaminate your hash..

I have started to skip some of the bags as well.. I use 220 (work), then 160, 120, 73 and 45.. the 190 and 90 were just.. in the middle and I got to the point where I didn't care. I think a lot of people do this as well.

The choice of the sieve you are using is the most important factor in sieving and you all have tendency to forget it which is quite amazing.
Are you saying the specific bag is the most important or the product your using? Sorry but the way you put it is hard for someone new to understand.

ALSO if your the real frenchy canoli holy moly your products give me hope that one day I can make them as good as you.

The art of sieving is totally dependent on using the sieve size specifically adapted to the size of the material you are processing.
Yes you will most certainly be as good as me, hopefully better. It is all about dedication, love, total focus.Know;edge is power.

You run the same strains all the time, or do you switch it up Frenchy?

You've probably got a good idea on what strains produce what size glands.. most don't though sadly. Everyone likes to run different plants every run anymore lol.. kinda seems most people get their best product out of the 73 bag though.. and I know you skip that and catch it all in the 45 yes?

That's a very specific reason I enjoy my dry sift method.. because i'm using work bag type mesh it allows all sizes of glands to fall through.. gets a much better all around medication than others i've tried who card and have specific micron batches.

I think that's why you skip some of the bags and collect all in the 45 right? Same idea?

The size of the trichomes heads differ between genetics but the optimum range of goodness stay the same from 45 to 160 and 73 to 160.
I do not know the size of screen you are using in your kit, I use the 190 and 160 to dry sieve and I do not stack, I prefer to double sieve when necessary.
I had the final talk with SCLabs, and you should call me in the near future to organize the session.
We both need to do our process 3 different times with the same trims, the lab need 3 samples for optimum result.

Well thank you guys for inspiring me to make my own bubble, I have went through the run 3 times and what I found was really crazy, the chernobyl first run was the biggest in the 73 bag and the 90 bag was almost empty, 120 was decent and 160 was a shit ton, I am guessing the 160 is all throw away but I am gonna taste it and then maybe make some edibles or just toss it.

the 160 and 120 is great for edibles. I mixed some in some tomato sauce and pizza dough. I made all from scratch. We ended up eating the whole pizza that night. We were so slowded™ o_O

if you have also a 220 and/or a 190, your 160 will be very good for edibles
220 190 160 120 90 73 45 25

I ended up using each bag because I wanted the lowest bag to be the cleanest.

I wish I would have read all this before I washed that bag out :( im a dumb dumb, I only saved 2 out of 3 runs but I guess its better than rinsing it all out.
