Anyone make money off YouTube?

I've been binge watching winter camping and log cabin manufacture videos on youtube and I noticed that these videos are getting millions and tens of million views. I looked it up and these people could be making $30K to $50K - PER MILLION VIEWS!

Anyone ever put videos up for money?

Honestly, most youtubers do not make a whole lot until the have over 1 million Subs, and even then, they dont always make a lot, and youtube has a habit of demontizing videos that do "too well" because it cost them too much money, but if they demonitize the video they pay nothing.

Yeah. Youtube definitely has its issues when it comes to monetization. Advertising is one stream of intake, but from what I've noticed, even Youtubers with a large number of subscribers have to use Patreon and other avenues to actually make anything count towards the effort put into producing a quality Youtube channel. Then there's the copyright issues that many run into, depending on your platform and what you create. There's one artist that I've followed for a while that had a copyright strike against her for.....wait for it.....using a song she wrote herself. It was corrected, but it gives you an indication of a few of the issues others have run into with IP rights.

I'd suggest building up a solid base of subscribers through various Social Media apps before approaching the money making avenue.
