Anyone using a system that reclaims the butane

I just started making wax using a Mark3 Terpenator just wondering if anyone else is running wax this way. I have also heard SOOOOOOOO many different ways to purge correctly. How are some people waxing up quick and others not. I have never blasted so I was just wondering if the way I'm extracting is making a difference. Just did a White Rhino run and a Green Crack / Jack the Ripper run purging now heat purging some till the Rhino is done in the chamber. any tips advice or general knowledge would be much appreciated

what causes some to wax quickly and others take forever... one of the great wonders of the world.

high temps and a vacuum purge definitely speed things up... but ive seen guys get wax by double boiling so I have no idea.

I don't know I'm new to the making it part and I can say I have probably fucked up about 120 grams still smokable and purged just not what I was looking for. I'm hoping the stuff purging now does what I want I prefer wax. if I heat purge first then vac purge I get wax and that is what I want. But now after a couple days of reading on here it looks like I need to winterize. It's always something also didn't realize how time consuming purging is good lord i'm more of an instant gratification kind of person one of the reasons I love extracts they get you where you want to go and fast.

winterizing is a million times better than wax for personal smoke. if youre selling it, it highly cuts into profits, but at what expense.. destroying yours and others lungs?

waxes are low in terpenes and average in plant waxes (high in my opinion)
winterizing is average in terpenes, could be high, and no plant waxes. now thats a winning combo.

as for the terp, fadedawg will answer any questions you got, I believe hes got one and has it absolutely mastered.

purging definitely takes a long time, but well worth it in the end. its the most important part, just like curing is with the grow.

yeah I think fadedawg is someone I know or I should say built the terp at least it sounds like it by his posts. Super knowledgeable they are doing it for sure down there. Yeah the people I got the Terp from do classes on winterizing creams and lotions tinctures they all bring something different from their fields one is a electrical engineer one is an aspiring organic chemist and I forget what the other person is an expert but she has a masters degree if I'm not mistaken anyway really good people.
so this has been in the vac chamber for 16 hours running the whole time so just be patient and it will wax up is what i'm hearing ??

yes. the pump doesnt have to be running, thats just asking for a disaster. if youre going to leave it run, put a dish IN the chamber UNDER your spout where the valves attach into your chamber lid.

sometimes its taken my oil up to 4 days to wax at 110F... by that time it had pulled all of the flavor out buy hey, I wanted wax!

4 days that is crazy wow. I'm looking for a used vac oven right now not having allot of luck finding one close so that shipping doesn't cost as much as the oven but i need something bigger and more accurate than a gridle.
why put something in the chamber

why put it in the chamber? because not many other things can hold a full vacuum and 120F

ive had wax that took 7 days to wax up! and ive left wax in the chamber for 14 days before at 110F!!!! didnt change much after day 7, sure tasted like shit though.

a digital griddle is accurate enough with the help of a temp gun or probe. and 3 gallon vacuum chamber is big enough for 200 gram oil runs.. how big of runs are you doing??
