Apache Tech AT600 vs BML Spydr 1200

This question is for those who know of these two lights already.

I'm pretty much fixated on going with one of these two.
They both seem to be of very high quality and performance.
I've read info about both, but I'd like to know what some of you think.

Without considering price which do you think is the better fixture?
Are there conditions under which you would clearly choose one over the other?

If you're not in a rush, JJ, newer and cheaper lighting fixtures will be out in a mere few weeks. These panels will of course be sporting the fabulous COB technology - white LED light.

apache all day long. The bml uses decent diodes. They're passively cooled . So they have heat dissipation issues.

apache is a far better option.
So no one has an oscillating fan in their grow room?....;-)

If he's not commercial, I would also recommend waiting on the new cob fixtures......or buy the unfashionable optic panels now...

Those bml's have that lense cover. So without removing that an oscillating fan wouldn't do much

I'm no engineer......but I assume that bml designed a grow light that can handle most grow room conditions with passive cooling. Covering a cob with a lens is way different than the small/low wattage oslons IMO.

its a single lense cover over the whole bar not just one diode. Remember the issues petflora had

Which newer and cheaper fixtures are you pointing out?
Do you think they can match the results of the at600?

Area 51 COB lamps should be out in the next couple weeks. Even their current versions are pretty efficient.

Optic grow lights has COB options that are comparable with Apache, though anything running much over test current would be less efficient.

Did he?....I thought he was advised to use an oscillating fan if his ambient temps where high?......I don't remember exactly tbh.

The oslons are spread out over a three foot mcpcb....I have no idea if it gets hot or not== never used one. What's the warranty? Lol

Think the fan was used just to cool the top of the heatsinks..

Wasn't that convenient. New product? Ceiling fan attachment? Light drone?

Area-51 has yet to reveal any pictures but they claim to be cooking something delicious (and I believe it).

Besides Area-51, there is at least one company that has yet to reveal itself, that will surely knock Apache, Rapid, Amare, and Optic off the charts. Who knows, Area-51 may be included as well.

Only in due time.

as soon as they announce a release date, it will probably get pushed back another 3 - 6 months just like very release has.

I'm not growing anything (indoors).. I know how to use a screwdriver (whenever I can locate it)..

;-)

it was a joke.. say eh's name 3 times and he shows up in a thread. kind of like the movie beetlejuice. How many times has he showed up when someone talks about him or bad mouths a51

Maybe he could shine a light on the release date or whats going on with the designs.
