i am just about to start my first crop ever and on one of the plants im planning to use an aqua globe with the nutrients already in it. has anyone already done this? is it a bad idea?

if not ill let you know in a few weeks
 
I dont think it is a good Idea to use them
you are supposed to let the soil dry out between watering's
and this would just keep it wet all the time
 
The best method for checking the water is also the simplest. Every day pick up the container and water when it feels light. When I see the aqua globe in the store, I think, gimmick for old ladies who complain about their backs hurting from bending over with the watering can.
 
Thanks, i forgot the first and most simple fact. "you're growing a damn weed" and the aqua globe would promote root rot.
 
Aquaglobes are junk soil will clog them & no water will come out anyways. It is better to pay attention to the children so they have the proper guidance in life.

where nutes are concentrated in the soil, the aqua globes are a bad idea imo, you need wet and dry cycles for proper root growth and need the side of the pot and all that watered too, not just that one spot,not to mention your roots will rot if the soil is always moist like that too, once that happens its basically game overgive it a try if you want but do not add any nutes to the water.
 
Everybody wants all the girls without earning them first. It still takes alot of work with all the info in the world. Patience is always the virtue.
 
Really wet & then pretty damn dry is what they need anyways + proper air circulation, ventilation & humidity & temps. Dont wake darkdestruction untill 420 + rep him or her cause the info is pretty reliable.
 
my second idea is that i am using jiffy pots to avoid the stress of transplanting the drawback is that i have to soak the entire plant in my nutrient water before i bury it in the 10" pot do you think i will cause irreparable damage by doing this then not watering until its dry again?
 
THOSE ARE NOT ANYGOOD unless u transplant them in the mother earth. They will never degrade in a container. UNLESS U DROWN THEM.
 
You can transplant safely if u let you r plants grow enough roots in there container. I always start with mine from the nursery with my legal garden which is 30' by 70' just as hobby. If u can start pepper & tomatoe seeds properly u can make all the brownies u will ever need. They require much attention. Anybody can grow a mj seed with nodes 2" apart but we all cant build santas trees>
 
well you have to get them wet so the roots can go thru but i figure if i soak it in nutrient water then it can only help........... right?
