Are Ants going to Help or Hurt my plants??

i have all types of ants in my house... mostly little black ants that parade my home for any source of water or food i see that they have taken a liking to my plants soil. i used some raid outside where i saw they were getting in... but they are persistent.

so whats up, do i need to exterminate these fuckers or are they ok on my plants???

You might think about cleaning.Limit the food sources for them.

these ants are seriously unstoppable. i have sprayed around outside and inside my house. and keep my kitchen clean for the most part... my plants are upstairs tho, and the ants have made their way to my plants, and are tunneling into the bottom drain hole and up through my soil. i dont really want to use insecticide near my plants, but i may just have too. any ideas???
