Which when you can control your environment and know your plants because an easy task. Hardest one is the first then you really learn or atleast how it was for me
I have no issue growing , drying , curing big ass buds .

I have had buds so big they won't even fit in any glass jars . . Have to use paint buckets . . .

Also bigger buds means less trimming (atleast for me) . . . Just keep a fan blowing on the plant during flower and you chances of getting mold etc go down considerably . . . Just make sure not to dry the plant out either

it is a little bit funny, the title of the thread, "are big buds a good thing?" so you can flip the question and have the same meaning, and it will become "are big buds a bad thing?" sounds even funnier lol I want to start a thread in "plant problems" forum with a title that says: "help me with my problem, my buds are growing big"

Right, I almost didn't post it because the title seemed silly. I realized bigger buds mean less trimming, but not for me because when I trim I try to manicure so that all buds are around the same size (about the size of a golf ball) which I assume will help with a uniform distribution of humidity in the curing process. Porky101 - I'd be concerned about curing beer can sized buds in the same bucket as golf ball sized buds. As a bud gets bigger it has less and less surface area compared to its volume. and that surface area is what controls the rate of evaporation. Do you ever have issues with curing buds of various size?

Na always wanna hang on stem wayyyyyyy better than trimming small and airing out on nets
I usually do, unless I get 20oz bottle sized buds with high humidity. Damp rid, and exhaust can only go so far. Nice picture of the Afghan Kush, I've had it and it's good. But have you grown the regular Afghan? Usually comes as freebies? I'm trying to figure out if the strain is good or if I screwed it up because I had my process dialed in great and had great results with every other strain but the Afghani regulars were just awful.
