Are cannabis roots able to penetrate through newspaper pots?

I'm an outdoor grower, and the weather is very extreme this week. I'm thinking about starting some autos in a few newspaper pots, then burying them in the final pot. Are newspaper pots weak enough for cannabis roots to penetrate?
