Are Rec Prices dropping nationwide?

In the legal states that allow you to grow your own, the people are growing their own...which usually far exceeds the quality of commercial weed...IF the grower is even halfway competent...

Commercial weed at recreational stores is all prepackaged, now...extra dry (to avoid any chance of mold in the containers) and it's just not worth it to spend the money on dried-out, no-taste weed when people can grow and long-cure their own buds...make their trim and larf into bubble hash and then rosin tech the low quality bubble hash. Everything I grow is far better than anything I've purchased at a rec. store.

So, yeah I would think they better drop their prices!

I must admit though...there are a few places doing rosin that do it better than I can....I am still at the ghetto technology stage of my rosin tech...but I hope to improve that over the next year!

:)

Here on my farm you can grab cured weed for 3.57 the gram...I mostly smoke all I grow, but the stock pile here is adding up so the new deal is turn it into hash and press it into rosin....but smoking this shit and trying to work as well can be a challenge!

Are you sure it's the first of the year? I thought the new permits aren't being issued until 2018?
I haven't seen prices go up, but i have seen prices finally stabalize. I think it's due to allot of our counties, like mine, shutting down the outdoor grows. That major flood every year was fucking shit up big time.
I live in oregon so i'm not sure if we are talking about the same place. I grow indoor so i'm not sure about all the outdoor stuff

Oh, gotcha.
Yeah, I was talking about California, i thought you were too.
I grow indoor and have been known to grow huge crops outdoor also(used to) like many others around here. The influx of all the outdoor really fucked with the prices of even indoor for half the year. It seems to have stabalized a bit.

Commercial cultivation have to report to marjuwana enforcement division which is strictly regulated by our government. They must do microbial testing..this testing is to search for molds n other nastys like e.coli or other bacterial disqualifiers. Potency testing is what is used to test % of canniboids. Thc/cbd/thca. Etc... Retesting occours frequently if product is deemed bad. Ur local grower lacks the multi 1000 dollar tools to tell them exactly how dank there stuff is.

Trust me when i say this getting stuff tested (and passing) is a piece of cake for any grower worth anything. Its the hundreds of req for rec growing license that is basically pushing me out of the market.

id be interested to see this data, and who compiled it. my ear to the ground is telling me its OR,WA: indoor product in CA. TBH, the organic outdoor is not having any effect on what people buy(they don't ask for it). if anything it allows for the increasing concentrate market to keep up.

http://www.sdpharmlabs.com/

you can start an account with them, its only 20 bucks now for a basic THC, CBD, CBC: profile. + 1 gram of flower.

Lab testing is not something that is out of reach, like it was a bit ago, there is two others in SD. but this one will drop, I guess what you would call free-bee data if something is interesting.

DNA: testing is done too, but its still pricey. but they have some 200k strains. and if your don't match they are supposed to give you the closest.

this is by far the most interesting to me, because of the "what is in the jar" issue that is the black cloud of the emerging market. shady label swaps, and misrepresented products. that applies to seeds and clones as well.

once we sort out what is what, we can ask for the proper pricing for the meds.

I personally use http://www.greenleaflab.org/ they follow all changes immediately (to OHA/OLCC laws on testing) but it is a bit more pricey (125+3.5g per lb) but they are very professional.

Not sure what you were pointing at but getting stuff tested is a requirement to deal with clubs in oregon as it currently stands. The problem for the emerging market is the tons of requirements and licenses and general uneeded things they ask all people to get (you have to get pretty much the same stuff regardless if you are a 10000sq ft rec grow or a 1000ft 1) that is pushing all the smaller people who have quality herb out of the market

I fell you, you need a separate license for storing, transporting, and state tax cannabis. there are about 20 different growing licenses they are very specific in how, where, and type of grow. soil and hydro indoor/outdoor are different documents.

my understanding is, it mandated under all agricultural regulations as anything else.

It would seem that the years only bring more red-tape and regulations, all of which add to the bottom line. Prices seem to be going up as more grows are shut out of the market. The inevitable consequence being these growers are being pushed back into the black/grey market where actual price discovery is taking place. Expect nothing but more expensive bud as long as more and more regulators need their palms greased. I personally think the black market is much safer than being above board anymore, especially with uncertainty in Washington potentially wiping the slate clean.

Bottom line it's about the government making money. Not legal federally but they want their cut when it comes to taxes.

well how good is Budweiser or miller. they will as some point boil down to a few products taking the largest market share. and as I said before, its does not have to be super ill dank. al long as they pump out a consistent product at a 9-5 price people will buy it.

the rest of it, will fall in to the micro brew type market, which is a very small market share in comparison. you can grow the dankest wall sticking flower of all time, and once the 12lbs is gone is does not stop the machine.

home brewing as had a bit of a come back, in comparison to growing, but its more then a hobby them a means of making a living. since they started tiered billing and time rate changes based on demand, electric bills are very high here in SoCal. run you lights during a heat wave, and expect to play about a .79 a kilowatt. a 3k system can be a $1800 bill x3: 5400+1500 in nuets and products a home grow with a $6900 overhead. average 1800 a lb (expect the worse hope for the best estimate) and you going to need at least 4lbs just to pay for your hobby

id say about 4lbs is the average serious home grower mean, +/- 2lbs so you have about 3900 to buy more nuets cleaning supplys: repair/replace and replace stuff like ro filters, bulbs, tubing. that's another 1k. add your payouts and IOU's and misc. so you got about $2400 left, a full time employee at Mcdonalds makes about that.

and a failed run, if you don't have money to pay the bills could mean....serious problems. spider mites could make you homeless if your are hobby(ing) on the edge. lol

Not quit.

Four states consistently provide 80% of the nations pot.

Cali, Kentucky, Oregon and Tennessee. Some years the later two change between a couple states.

Cali in the top and Kentucky right behind them year after year.

Its illegal all together in KY but big business and a lot of growers.
