just a quick poll to see what you all think. the reason i ask is my last grow i used canna boost and although it wasnt bad it costs 80 euro a litre and i was using nearly a litre a week! this i time i thought i would try something else. i am now using monster bloom which cost me 44 euro and will do 2 crops! do you think some of these nutrient companys are selling false dreams? what bloom nute do you use? do you think you get good value?

if you want the hidden truth then go read the "Lucas Formula From Scratch" thread, (ALL OF IT!) or read any thread fatman has had a part in (or more specifically anything HE has said)

wow. nice trhead. it just goes to show! it is annoying that as soon as you buy something in a shop for growing cannabis its price doubles! i try to supports my local shop but i just got a new p.h pen and it cost 80 euro! even my thermometer and hygrometer were ridiculosly expensive. im gonna shop on ebay from now on! - i would love to make my own nutes, is there a step by step thread anywhere?

its just like anything else that is booming. the fat cats out there come up with some "new age shit" that is supposedly "way better than anything youve tried before". when in all actuality its just a couple of the cheap things mixed together and a cool looking label on it. its the bullshit and the label you are paying so much for.

i like the cheap concentrates that make 50 gallons. 7-10 bucks will last you many grows. (depends on what your getting).

what you should really do is read the label. if theres anything thats worth all that money in it get it. if its just a bunch of cheap shit like i said with a cool label then its probly not worth it.

Well if you think of the market, and the 'typical' customer - you can easily see why they can and do get away with it. Look at the demographics of a lot of the growers getting into the hobby who visit the hydro stores, most are likely young males, early 20s, uneducated, very impressionable and stoned most of the time. You could tell them that bottled piss with a shiny label will make their buds grow 10x bigger and they would pay you big $$$ for it. Sadly... I have seen threads on here about doing this very thing (well not actually selling it, but you get the point).

A little homework goes a long way towards separating the hype from the product.

Ya got that right buddy! ... Viewing his videos makes me :spew:

The best highest yielding plants Ive ever grown was by using Peters 20-20-20 and Blossom booster 10-52-10.(SOIL)

We're talking maybe 15 bucks for both products back in the days, that would grow many large crops.

Peters sold out to a relative, and now the fert. line is called Jacks Classic.

IMHO, If you want the BEST soil fert buy the Dynamic Duo>> http://www.jacksclassic.com/dynamic_duo.html

Right this second Im experimenting with just one Northern Lights #5 in a 6" container.. and it has already passed up my bubbler plants in bud growth.

Even my houseplants look 100% better using this product.

It has the right combination of micro's and then some.

Stuff is UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Also, if you want the highest yield, chemicals will blow the doors off Organics.

You can believe it, or not..

Ive experimeted in near prime conditions, And the chems. WIN!!!! :hump:

You see, the nute makers know that the consumers have big bucks to spend on plant food.

Especially the Mj growers, and so they take advantage of the situation.

Dont get sucked into the whirlpool.. Just a waste of money.

Ive been growing for about 11 years now.. and Im a well seasoned grower.

I pretty much know whats up in the grow world.

I will be doing a major experiment in about a month with multiple products.

Have a nice day! :)

Always great to see some real world experience from a seasoned pro. Where is that link? I am always interested in experimentation when its done right and want to see what you discover.
