Unless you live in the South between Texas and Florida, absolutely not. You also screwed up by not spore printing them to check the color.

90% of mushrooms are most certainly not poisonous. I would say that maybe 15-20% of wild mushrooms are actually liver-failure-poisonous, but maybe 50% will give you an ugly case of the shits. Or at least taste disgusting. Maybe 3-5% of wild mushrooms are actually both edible and taste good. The trippy ones all taste disgusting, but disgusting does not in any way shape or form mean trippy. We used to go drive down to a cow pasture between Jackson, TN and Corinth, MS in the mid-80s on a weekend night in the summer when it was hot, humid and raining a lot and at dawn pick bags of shrooms, so saying only between FL and TX is BS. Once the sun hit them it was OV. We would drive back to KY -- less than 2 hours -- and sell them for $10 a g, wigging balls for days hahaha. Good times yawning my misty eyed ass off lol.

I got all heavy into growing the variety of shrooms from the Pacific Northeest indoors on a bed of pure perlite in 10 gal aquariums back in the late 90s. I ordered the spore syringe for $10 out of HT from somewhere in Portlant, OR I believe . I was up to close to 10 aquariums and that took some serious work maintaining. I guess I was around 28-30 or so at the time and these two teenage punks who were brothers of friends show up at my door wanting shrooms. I fixed the little bastards up with a fat sack on the house, immediately harvested everything growing on the cakes and got rid of the entire setup, aquariums and all. I've only eaten shrooms once since, about 10 years ago and knew it would be the last time. I had my fun with the psychedelics and am now officially retired.

Funny story I'll make quick. I had a friend show up on my doorstep wanting some shrooms for his birthday. I didn't have any dry, only some fresh on the cakes that would require a couple days or more to dry out properly. He was insistent so I decided I would pick a handful of fresh ones and make him shroom tea. Anyway, I tried to guess how many new shrooms it would take to shrivel down to 2 grams and added a few more for good measure. I boiled those fresh shrooms and served him up a huge quart jar's worth of tea and he left.

Later, I noticed he had left about an inch worth of tea in bottom of his jar and since I was going to mow the yard, thought what he hell and drank it down, thinking I'd get a nice little speeder buzz. Wrong. Within 30 minutes, much quicker than eating, I was tripping harder than I've ever tripped on anything before or since. Then I thought about my boy and all that he had drank.

Long story longer, he talked to Jesus he claimed later that night, swore off all drugs and a couple years later at his wedding he approached me to thank me for "changing his life". It seems he went on a trip like none other, with the air taking on a liquid state in his mind and visions of death and destruction filling his head for hours and hours before talking to Jesus. Glad to help bro.

Hahaha I had a similar experience. Went over to a buddies and he handed me a mug of orange juice, said drink this it will get you high. I had no idea what was in it, but knew I liked to get high ;) so I chugged it back. Next thing you know he is looking for the mug asking for drink. I told him I drank it, he couldn't believe it. Now he tells me I wasn't supposed to drink the whole thing. 3/4 of an oz of some banger mushrooms brewed in a tea, cooked down then mixed with orange juice. I've never tripped that hard in my life and never want to again. Went into the store for a drink and came out damn near pissing myself laughing because the Gatorade bottles were bigger than me. Made it home and really started tripping nuts.

Yep, and the way to tell the difference is gallerinas show a rusty brown spore print and psilocybins will give a purple-brown spore print

I find ovoids in the spring here in ohio...more than once I've found gallerinas growing in the same vicinity. Always be 100% sure of an id whenever picking wild mushrooms. Join shroomery and you'll learn tons. Do a spore print on every cap and never never think it's close enough. All it takes is one and you can wind up in icu with liver and kidney failure
